12 noon - 3pm 6pm - 9pm. Sunday and Bank Holidays. 12 noon - 7pm. Enjoy wonderful homemade food in the pleasant surroundings of our restaurant where oak beams are a feature throughout. For a less formal experience, our bar, still full of character, provides a comfortable alternative for dining and the attraction of a roaring fire in the large inglenook fireplace during the winter months. Disabled access and facilities are available. For children, high chairs and a changing station are provided.

Runs daily through the summer months, from Newenden to Bodiam on the River Rother. Kent and East Sussex Railway. The Kent and Sussex Railway gently winds its way from Tenterden through unspoilt Rother valley for 10 mins to Bodiam Castle. One of the most famous and evocative castles in Britain, Bodiam was built in 1385, as both a defence and a comfortable home. Great Dixter House and Gardens. Saint Peter's Church in Newenden is an early 14th-c. church, well worth a visit even if you are not attending a service. But there are (C. of E.) services at 9.15 every Sunday morning (other times at major holidays). There are plenty of public footpaths through Newenden and beyond, offering views, nature, exercise and relaxation. Why not take a stroll out to Castle Toll. Play on the swings.

The White Hart is a beautiful pub in the village of Otley, Suffolk

Bar & food. The White Hart is the only pub in Otley, a village of some 800 souls lying in the heart of the Suffolk Heights, eight miles from Ipswich and 10 minutes east of the A14. As the "local" we offer a warm welcome to all, two legs and four, whether just to sit with a pint and the crossword in front of the fire, or for a large group to have an extended Sunday Lunch in our sunny beer garden.
