She became a registered Nurse in 1970 at which time she moved with her husband, John from St. John's, to Montreal, Quebec. She then started studies in Fine Arts at Concordia University where she received a Bachelor's of Fine Arts in 1984. She then began to design and make jewellery. Tuck and Beagle Studio - Michelle R. Lau | Lampwork Glass Beads
Welcome to Tuck and Beagle Studio! My shop currently offers both large and small hole glass beads to accommodate any of your jewelry making needs. These beads start out as glass rods which I heat with a torch. Once it becomes molten I wrap that glass around a coated steel mandrel. I shape it with more heat, tools, and add decorative elements. After the beads are finished, they are annealled in a kiln overnight to strengthen them. Feel free to contact me with any questions, and enjoy your visit!
