Young People's Chorus of Erie: Choir Camp Day 2
http://ypcerie.blogspot.com/2011/08/choir-camp-day-2.html
Tuesday, August 9, 2011. Choir Camp Day 2. Day 2 of choir camp was so much fun. Campers were busy making new friends, learning new vocal technique, and memorizing tons of music and lyrics. Learning TV theme songs seems like an easy task, but when put into a one-week setting with over a dozen songs, it’s quite difficult and these choristers are accepting the challenge like true professionals! Place, and this is much due to the hard work of our choristers. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). American Chora...

Young People's Chorus of Erie: January 2011
http://ypcerie.blogspot.com/2011_01_01_archive.html
Saturday, January 29, 2011. During retreat we played a game when we got 13 words and had to make a song. A lot of songs were copied but we had a lot of fun. Personally mine was the best! Links to this post. This was my first YPC retreat and, if I do say so myself, it has been the 2. Most fun YPC function I have ever attended, other than camp. I don’t plan to ever leave YPC (until I’m 18), and I can’t wait for the next YPC retreat (or camp! Links to this post. Links to this post. Well The mansion is beaut...

http://ypcerie.blogspot.com/2011_08_01_archive.html
Wednesday, August 10, 2011. Choir Camp Day 3. Day 3 is coming to a close. Choristers started the day with some energetic gospel music singing the theme to “The Jeffersons” which woke them up pretty fast! Who doesn’t love the energy of gospel music? Ending this morning’s rehearsal was some choreography to “Jump” from Glee. Energy must have been the theme to this morning’s rehearsal to get campers ready for an afternoon full of off campus performances. Links to this post. Tuesday, August 9, 2011. As most o...

http://ypcerie.blogspot.com/2011/07/reflections-from-past-choir-camps.html
Thursday, July 7, 2011. Reflections from Past Choir Camps. Below I'm including some of my favorite singing/choir quotes, and some of my favorite photos from Choir Camp! With love and song,. Those who wish to sing always find a song.". I don't sing because I'm happy; I'm happy because I sing." William James. Life is a song. Love is the music.". What greater thing is there for human souls than to feel that they are joined for life - to be with each other in silent unspeakable memories." George Eliot.

Thursday, December 23, 2010. Winterlight: A Holiday Concert with YPC Erie. Let's set the scene: picture 75 choristers in small groups laughing and talking together as they decorate for the holidays with carols playing softly in the background. Now picture the older singers slowly turning toward the audience and singing a stirring rendition of "Christmas Time is Here" as the younger singers continue to wrap gifts and hang ornaments. This is how "Winterlight: A Holiday Concert with YPC" began. YPC Erie has...
