Let them know how you really feel with this plugin. buddyBaller generates a two-word name for your user, supportive or condescending, depending on what you set the “tone” attribute to when generating the name. Want to use it? Here is the Git Repo. Just add buddyballer-1.0.js. To your site, then invoke it with a selector like here. Email (will not be published) (required). Thanks for stopping by.

Luke pacholski's design and illustration. Lyoto “The Dragon” Machida. August 20th, 2012. One of my favourite MMA guys. Went after this one with an HB mechanical pencil only. It went pretty well but the darks could be darker. Email (will not be published) (required). Hi, I'm Luke Pacholski. I'm a graphic web designer and illustrator based in Chicago. Right now I work at Vibes. Before that I co-founded Zeep Mobile. Thanks for stopping by.

Luke pacholski's design and illustration. October 15th, 2011. Up4 was a Facebook app I worked on while at ActiveState. It was a casual hang-out enabler meant to complement Facebook’s native event system. It was a passive approach to getting friends together – you’d list when you were up for certain activities, and friends could join if they were interested. I was responsible for all of the visual design, markup and illustrations. Here’s a few selected screens. To see what you were up for and join in.

Luke pacholski's design and illustration. Mauricio “Shogun” Rua. August 21st, 2012. He’s kind of fading now, but I’m still a fan. With this one I took more time to fill in the medium values. It was also a bit of a tough angle to get a good likeness from. Email (will not be published) (required). Hi, I'm Luke Pacholski. I'm a graphic web designer and illustrator based in Chicago. http://flukeout.com/twitter-animations
Luke pacholski's design and illustration. June 5th, 2013. This thing grabs a Tweet that has a specific animation-based keyword in it, then animates it according to that word. The cool part about making this was figuring out how to do the animations letter-by-letter. What I do is first render the message in an invisible element and wrap a tag around each letter. That lets me figure out what the coordinates of each letter should be when animating. Have a look. Works in Chrome/Safari only!

Luke pacholski's design and illustration. Trivio branding, site & illustrations. May 25th, 2013. I did some work for a friend’s startup triv.io. It’s a cloud-based data storage and manipulation platform. It’s like having a dumptruck to take your data back and forth from the cloud! I went with an origami theme for this one. The site is just one long sign-up page, but the header follows you around as you scroll. You can also click the invite button to scroll down to the email sign up. June 1st, 2013.

Luke pacholski's design and illustration. Mystical Door of Random GIF. May 25th, 2013. I was learning how the Javascript behind multi-touch gestures works on the iPhone and created the Mystical Door of Random GIF. Pinch open the door to see the GIF and shake your phone to load up a new one. It can’t get a new one when you’re watching, so close the door first. It’s grabbing from a list of 20 or so hand-curated GIFS. Or scan the QR code above. Email (will not be published) (required). Thanks for stopping by.

Luke pacholski's design and illustration. Twitter and Text Voting UI. May 25th, 2013. One of the cool features of the Catapult platform I work on at Vibes. Is the ability to run multi-channel (Twitter, Text & Web) vote campaigns. This is the vote campaign UI that I helped design and implement. Creating a New Vote Campaign. We tried a few different approaches for the Create step, but found that a single-page layout where all of the aspects of vote were visible at once resonated best with users.
