Blogging - ILC Blog Sites. Blogging is a vital and integral part of The Ivy League Connection and should not be thought of us anything other than a key component of the program. Keeping in mind what we try to impress upon everyone in that everything we have our ILCers do is for a reason. There are several reasons why we have our participants blog. It’s why blogging is mandatory. Keeping that in mind, it’s helpful to understand why we make blogging such an important part of the ILC experience. For many of...

'13 ILC at Cornell: A Moment to Reflect
http://13ilcatcornell.blogspot.com/2013/07/a-moment-to-reflect.html
13 ILC at Cornell. Thursday, July 18, 2013. A Moment to Reflect. As I am sure everyone who is affiliated with the Ivy League Connection will agree, time definitely flies too fast. It has only been a few days since I have returned home from my three weeks in the East Coast. Before I elaborate on how incredible the experience has been, I would not be completely sharing the story if I did not talk about my journey from the very beginning. Professor Kramnick, a man I am truly honored to have learned from.

13 ILC at Cornell. Friday, May 24, 2013. A Taste for Cornell. Tonight, I got my first real dose of my journey to life at Cornell. I was given the amazing privilege to meet and dine with future Cornelians and Cornell alums left and right. The event began at around 5:20 PM, when we were to all meet at the El Cerrito Plaza BART station. For dinner, I chose the vegetarian selection on the menu- and it turned out to be absolutely delicious. The food was amazing, and dessert was just perfect. By 9 PM, we all h...

'13 ILC at Cornell: Reflecting On A Great Experience
http://13ilcatcornell.blogspot.com/2013/07/reflecting-on-great-experience.html
13 ILC at Cornell. Wednesday, July 17, 2013. Reflecting On A Great Experience. I’ve gained so much through the Ivy League Connection. From applying to actually going on the trip, I never stopped learning. I learned that it was important to be myself when interviewing because it really makes me stand out. If I continued to talk like a robot and not share my true thoughts, how would I prove that I was a great choice for the ILC? At Cornell, I met so many different people from all over the world. It tur...

'13 ILC at Cornell: June 2013
http://13ilcatcornell.blogspot.com/2013_06_01_archive.html
13 ILC at Cornell. Sunday, June 30, 2013. It turns out that there’s really a big difference in pace. One day, it would be nice of our school district offered something like Model UN. We have Junior Statesmen of America (JSA), but it’s more arguing and debating. It would be nice to experience some peaceful discussions instead. However, I also know that this program is probably very expensive since it requires flying to different countries as well. It turns out that I’ve learned a lot today. I sh...To say ...

13 ILC at Cornell. Monday, July 22, 2013. Two years ago, I was determined to attend U.C. Berkeley. It wasn't just my number one choice, it was my only choice, and I scoffed at the idea of even considering other schools. Now I find myself having to choose between an immeasurable amount of institutions. Should I apply to Cornell University, with its radiant campus. Columbia University, where I’m sure to enjoy endless excitement both in and outside the classroom? Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Independ...
