Third 2009 Texas Trip Blog. By Jim and Roger. Archive for December, 2009. Tuesday, December 8th. December 8, 2009. Up at 6. Warm. 63. Out of the house by 7. Pictures from last night below. Flight on schedule per computer. Had breakfast with Minnesota group from the park. Flight home was great considering arrival weather. Terrible snow storm when we got home. Took 2 hours to get home – normal 20 minute trip. So, the Texas vacation was great (even though the Minnesota storm is miserable upon returning).

Third 2009 Texas Trip Blog. By Jim and Roger. Laquo; Tuesday, December 1st. Thursday, December 3rd. Wednesday, December 2nd. Slept in till nearly 7. Went out for breakfast and found restaurant ’bout 1/2 mile down the road which has excellent breakfast for $2.39. Drove down to Best Buy for Jim to look a new laptop – did NOT buy one. Drove over to Dale’s – more coffee and rolls. Back to Paradise Park hall for hot dogs and an afternoon “jam” session. Got in a short nap. In bed by 9. From your own site.

Flight seemed to leave right on schedule, but was 1/2 hour late arriving in Harlingen and was quite rough. Picked up our rental car and luggage and drove to Pharr – Paradise Park. Rained all afternoon and evening – drizzled, heard thunder once. Busy afternoon getting everything all turned on and organized for our week here. Went to bed ’bout 10. From your own site.

Napped, swam, Wal*Mart. Mid afternoon temp near 100 (see pic). Bingo and supper at a park up the road a bit, Pharr South. With Dan and Candy. None of us won anything . . . terrible night of bingo. After snow and rain all night, Kathy took us to the airport at 5:30 and our flight departed on schedule at 7:50 AM. Thanks, Kath. Dan and Candy Saase met us at the Harlingen airport. Went to lunch at the Longhorn Barbecue. In Harlingen. See pictures below. And, yes, the John Deere model D and the threshing machine were part of the cafe’s decorations. Evening show.
