The Vorpal Chainsword: Video Games: Quest Marker Overload
http://vorpalchainsword.blogspot.com/2015/07/video-games-quest-marker-overload.html
Thursday, July 2, 2015. Video Games: Quest Marker Overload. For some time now I've been feeling like I must be getting old. Its not because of my creaky joints, or lack of athletic ability (that's always been there), or even my curmudgeonly attitude toward kids-on-my-lawn. Not possible, right? Well, rare is the new AAA game that comes out that I actually care enough about to finish. So what is wrong with me? And she calls you "Bruce" regularly in the calls? How do you even still have a secret identity?

The Vorpal Chainsword: Deck-Builders and TableTop
http://vorpalchainsword.blogspot.com/2015/07/deck-builders-and-tabletop.html
Saturday, July 4, 2015. For nerds like me, you all know that the latest episode of TableTop came out this week, and features the heroic Marvel-themed deck-building game: Legendary. Now, I'm not a deck-builder kind of guy these days. Yeah, back in the early 90's I was bit by the Magic: The Gathering. In the first segment of the above episode of TableTop, Wil Wheaton acknowledges that he experienced that very same Magic:The Gathering. I bought at GenCon last year during the annual purchasing frenzy one goe...

The Vorpal Chainsword: February 2015
http://vorpalchainsword.blogspot.com/2015_02_01_archive.html
Saturday, February 28, 2015. Setting for the Vorpal Chainsword Chronicles. Dramatization: Me circa 1988. Labels: Chronicles of the Vorpal Chainsword. Wednesday, February 25, 2015. Dead Snow 2: Red vs. Dead - Netflix Movie Reviews. So I recently saw that Dead Snow 2: Red vs. Dead. Was available on Netflix. For this movie I knew I needed assistance to get through it, as the original Dead Snow was, while an interesting idea, not that good at all (kind of like Iron Sky. Was it any good? And went into a rabid...

The Vorpal Chainsword: January 2015
http://vorpalchainsword.blogspot.com/2015_01_01_archive.html
Saturday, January 31, 2015. Chronicles of the Vorpal Chainsword begins! When it comes to D&D, I haven't run anything other than an over-the-top one-shot. However, a couple of my local gamers talked me into actually starting the 5th edition campaign I've been thinking about, and against my instincts of saying: " I want to play 5th, but first let me build the village and orc keep, should only take a couple more weeks. Instead I said: " Sure! Chronicles of the Vorpal Chainsword, Episode 1:. And all the terr...

The Vorpal Chainsword: The Marmoreal Tomb Kickstarter is Here!
http://vorpalchainsword.blogspot.com/2015/07/the-marmoreal-tomb-kickstarter-is-here.html
Thursday, July 30, 2015. The Marmoreal Tomb Kickstarter is Here! So maybe you're at GenCon right now, knee-deep in orcs, reaving your way through a bloody slaughter of Red Bull-fueled carnage and glory. Well, once the corpses stop twitching and you have an opportunity to recover your arrows, drink a healing potion, and take a short rest; I ask that you set your Battleaxe aside for a moment and consider the parchment fragment you found amongst the Chieftain's horde, and realize. Ring throughout the land!

The Vorpal Chainsword: Movie review- Dungeons and Dragons 3: Book of Vile Darkness
http://vorpalchainsword.blogspot.com/2013/10/movie-review-dungeons-and-dragons-3.html
Sunday, October 6, 2013. Movie review- Dungeons and Dragons 3: Book of Vile Darkness. That's right Americans, there is a third Dungeons and Dragons movie! It was a direct-to-DVD sequel, but sadly the DVDs were only released in the U.K. Why do fantasy-movie production companies only release these things in the UK? They also did it with the tolerable/almost good Solomon Kane. I will buy your cheesy sci-fi/fantasy DVDs if you release them in the USA, movie production companies, I promise. So is it any good?

The Vorpal Chainsword: June 2015
http://vorpalchainsword.blogspot.com/2015_06_01_archive.html
Sunday, June 28, 2015. He-Man vs. Cthulhu 5e Playtest Video in the GameHole. Just finished running Shadows Over Eternia: He-Man vs. the Cthulhu Mythos. 5th edition game at Nexus Game Fair. As always it was great fun, a couple of highlights being He-Man taming a T-Rex against all odds and turning it into his new "Battle-Rex," and Trapjaw escaping alone back to Eternia (after Skeletor and Evil-Lyn had been killed by Cthulhu) and leaving He-Man, Man-At-Arms, and Teela in R'yleh to rot! First I tried making ...
