We knew it was the one we wanted but were standing there trying to figure out how to get it home (because we know that if you see it at Costco you better buy it now because it may not be there the next day). A neighbor happened to walk by and offered to drive it home for us. So, here it is! Oh to be young! Just watching my kids takes me back to a time when life was simple and carefree!

Monday, May 24, 2010. Bathroom pictures. Read prior post first! Here's a sample of the grout problem. Joe and I have a hunch that this floor was refinished since the house was originally built 10 years ago, it was just done poorly. Thursday, August 26, 2010. As you can see, I'm not much of a blogger these days. Joe and I have had a great time working on this together. First, we finished the floor:. Then I painted - I finally found the shade of red that I love - the deepest I could find. It makes me want to repaint the rest of the red in my house that wasn't quite right. but maybe that can wait for another day. I also turned all of the brass in the bathroom into a rubbed bronze (see the shower? Next was the panel moulding.

Thursday, October 28, 2010. I don't have much time, but it has been quite a long time since I last posted so I thought I'd do a quick update. I finished re-staining my bathroom cabinets quite a while ago and I've also given the girls' bathroom cabinets a new face. I'll post those pics soon. Sunday, October 12, 2014. The weather was so nice even though it was October. We first drove north to visit La Jolla Beach and enjoy the views, hike around and even see some seals. Then we drove back to Mission Beach and played. It was very relaxing for me because I walked in the surf, took pictures of the kids, but mostly I sat by our stuff and protected it from the seagulls and read a book. That is my idea of relaxation! Wednesday, February 19, 2014. Another fun trip with the Glover family! We love being able to hang out with our friends and get in to Knott's Berry Farm so cheap with the police and fire discount that they offer every year. We also brought Ana with us.
