Seriously yum.: Your kitchen willl totally reek of veggies after this.
http://omgdinnerwasyum.blogspot.com/2014/10/your-kitchen-willl-totally-reek-of.html
Thursday, October 30, 2014. Your kitchen willl totally reek of veggies after this. I've posted a version of Divan before. But I wanted to change it up and get some extra veggies in here. Because the adults in this house like some greens. The child? Um, no. So rather than try and trick him into eating something he'll probably refuse to taste anyway, I just made this for us. The last time I made Divan, I used a mixed veggie mix. I mean, really.). About 16 oz. chicken breast. About 1/4 1% cup milk. Mix chic...

Saturday, December 6, 2014. I'm hoping you don't still have turkey in your tupperware, but. I've been trying to write down my recipes ( I swear). BUT, my laptop has decided to make itself my personal nemesis, and only decides to charge when it's in the mood (I swear! Today, it's in the mood. And. E asked to nap at 11:30 (I feel like I'm having to swear a LOT today) and. Hubs is out of town for another few hours, and. I have mimosas, soooo let's talk turkey! Are we sick of it? Chef's Salad is soooo easy&#...

Seriously yum.: Break out the crock pot. The big one.
http://omgdinnerwasyum.blogspot.com/2013/10/break-out-crock-pot-big-one.html
Thursday, October 31, 2013. Break out the crock pot. The big one. So, the crock pot. We like to pretend it's magical and frees us from "cooking." It doesn't. It makes it easier. A little. Sometimes. You still have to chop. You still have to clean up. However.there's something about doing the work early in the day that makes it seem. Like you didn't really cook. And I'm on board with that. This may be more obnoxious than "good," but I digress. Crock Pot Tortilla Soup. One small onion, chopped. Tapatio or ...

Seriously yum.: January 2015
http://omgdinnerwasyum.blogspot.com/2015_01_01_archive.html
Saturday, January 3, 2015. I officially need a bigger kitchen. Well, my family officially thinks I live in the kitchen. Christmas gifts included:. A set of 4 meat thermometers. A new cutting board. A Bobby Deen cookbook. An Ina Garten cookbook. A new kitchen timer. A bottle of vodka. I'm not complaining. Almost all of the above were desperately needed and/or much appreciated. First thing I tackled (after the vodka, natch) was the Bobby Deen cookbook. 30 minute meals under 350 calories? 1/2 cup orzo pasta.

Seriously yum.: December 2013
http://omgdinnerwasyum.blogspot.com/2013_12_01_archive.html
Sunday, December 8, 2013. And so is Kobe soup! You may remember that when Kobe scored 81 points in 2006, Hubs and I were eating Tom Ka soup, which we thereafter dubbed Kobe soup. It's one of those that I don't use a recipe for, so it's a little different every time.I realized, however, that the way I did it tonight was enough different (and enough better) than when I posted it last time. To warrant a Take Two post. 8oz chicken breast, thinly sliced. 14oz chicken broth (fill one of the empty coconut cans).

Wednesday, June 22, 2011. It may take awhile, but ask and eventually you shall receive. One of my girls asked for this recipe, like, a million years ago, and I haven't gotten around to making it again until now. So, Laura, I'm sorry. But here you go. While you may recognize this as Tom Ka Gai at your local Thai haunt, it's known as Kobe Soup around the Pammy H. house. We were eating this soup while watching the Laker game in which our boy dropped a ridiculous 81 points. 1 lb chicken breast, thinly sliced.

Wednesday, November 12, 2014. If you can make this easier, I would love to hear it. This is not the first chicken tortilla soup recipe I've posted. It's not even the first one. Using a crock pot. Sorry. BUT. If I promise that it's easier (AND tastier), am I forgiven? Throw it in. Mine was straight out of the freezer and worked. just. fine. Be as lazy as you want, my little slugs. That's all you. Throw all of this into a crock pot*:. Half an onion, sliced or chopped (1/2-1 cup's worth). 1 tsp chili powder.

Seriously yum.: Need a party app?
http://omgdinnerwasyum.blogspot.com/2014/12/its-early-december-which-means-its.html
Saturday, December 6, 2014. Need a party app? It's early December, which means it's prime holiday party time. Here you go. My sister likes to call this sort of thing "naughty." I call it delicious, and no one says you need to eat the whole damn thing. If you did, however, I wouldn't call you naughty (not to your face, anyway.) I would. Say you have excellent taste, however. Served with triscuits and wheat thins (both the low-fat variety), and I couldn't decide which was better. Maybe try with both? Pour ...

Seriously yum.: No one likes burnt coffee. No one.
http://omgdinnerwasyum.blogspot.com/2015/03/no-one-likes-burnt-coffee-no-one.html
Friday, March 6, 2015. No one likes burnt coffee. No one. Holy crap, it's March. It's been an insane 2015. Since the new year, Hubs accepted a new job and therefore agreed to move closer to LA. We moved February 1st. Which means and we're now OUT of my Central Valley political hell—hooray! 8212;yet smack dab into my own personal hell. The Inland Empire. The IE. The place I grew up. The place I swore I'd never return. So we're finding the plus sides. We live at the base of a little mountain. (It's...It's ...
