Wednesday, April 30, 2008. I remember when we had to walk to school in the snow, uphill- both ways." Several weeks ago, our table decided to purchase some cheap, kid-pr...

It's hard enough to deal with the fact that God allowed it happen without implying that He. Did He decide to ruin my life, or did He send people to help me when I needed it most? Links to this post.

Thursday, January 29, 2009. Burning Question #2: Church Marketing. While mailers are an effective way to get the word out in our community, it's also expensive. We're talking about thousands of dollars to do it right (which is the only way we would do it). Our current income doesn't allow this option. So we're looking for other ways to accomplish the same purpose. Not my favorite. Who reads your yard sign? Skip the yard sign and have your neighbors over for burgers. Again, most billboard advertising is o...

Springs Letters: June 2008

Saturday, June 21, 2008. This weekend at the ranch, the boys' ingenuity really kicked in. They found a board that was tapered on both ends, and decided to try to "ski" on it behind a Kawasaki mule. They call it "muleboarding." I'm sure this is destined to be the next rage in rural Arkansas, Tennessee and West Virginia. Check them out on Youtube ( Jacob. Oh to be a kid again. Links to this post. Maybe I've been too caught up. To see what you've been going through. All that I can say is that I'm here now. Everybody needs somebody sometimes. I have a friend whose parents divorced when she was two years old. Her father was not a part of her life growing up; she hasn't actually seen him since she was twelve&...
