8230; is coffee. A New Vision… and Blog 3.0. April 24, 2015. April 24, 2015. There comes a time in everyone’s life where they must figure out what serious thing really bugs them more than what bugs the usual person, and then do something about it. The realization that you were made to change. For the better is a frightening thing. First, this means you accept that you can’t change. But only for the better. 8220;What God originates, God orchestrates.” – Andy Stanley. I Didn’t Make The List →. Notify me of...

A Jack in the Pulpit for Mom | Scott Furrow

8230; is coffee. A Jack in the Pulpit for Mom. May 10, 2015. May 9, 2015. My dad needs his own blog. He wrote this for Mother’s Day for his church newsletter and I liked it, so I’m just going to post it on behalf of the blog he ought to have. I think it says something true about all of our moms…. A Mother’s Day note from Pastor Don Furrow:. A Jack in the Pulpit for Mom. Her stratagem was as follows. All of that from McKinley elementary school! Oh say there now. I want my pay. To love my Mother. There you...

8230; is coffee. August 5, 2016. August 5, 2016. I just want to take a moment to respond to the overwhelming response to my blog post last week. Asking for prayer for the family of San Diego Police Officer JD De Guzman, as well as prayer for the SDPD and others in the community. I received hundreds of comments and emails that were very moving, especially those from the many police officers who took time to respond. Thank you for your kindness and mostly, for praying for all of those involved. I simply ca...

Mindy Clark: August 2010

Tuesday, August 24, 2010. What kind of day are you going to have? Complaining does not get us anywhere in life. Yes, we all do it and we need time to vent about life, but eventually, we have to move on. If we continue to surround ourselves with negative conversations and continue to dwell on the little inconveniences in life, we are never going to be able to see the good. If just for today, let's look at the good and have a positive attitude. Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatev...

A Family Memorial Day Fix | Scott Furrow
https://scottfurrow.wordpress.com/2015/05/25/a-family-memorial-day-fix
8230; is coffee. A Family Memorial Day Fix. May 25, 2015. May 25, 2015. My son James asked me if we have any soldiers in our family to remember today. So, for Memorial Day, my family is remembering William M. P. Furrow. Our family doesn’t actually know much about William M. P. Furrow, other than he was a farmer and sold butter by the pound, proving beyond any doubt he and I are related. Also, you can probably churn butter with just one arm…. How could the VA make this mistake? Well, don’t answer th...

Mindy Clark: September 2013
http://mindyclark0803.blogspot.com/2013_09_01_archive.html
Thursday, September 12, 2013. When I finally laid my head down last night, I'm pretty sure it was pounding. I had a headache and I was so ready for bed. I slept. I was so thankful for bedtime last night. I woke up this morning with a refreshed spirit and a grateful heart, ready to try again. Lots of tender moments. Lots of embraces, lots of cookie making, lots of ah-hah moments, lots of problems resolved and lots of memories that we will hold in our hearts forever. I pray that today we will all be encour...

Mindy Clark: September 2010
http://mindyclark0803.blogspot.com/2010_09_01_archive.html
Tuesday, September 28, 2010. Are you enough for me? Quiet moments. Down time. What do I do with this time? Usually there are plenty of distractions. Busyness, friends, family, facebook, activities, church events, movies, small group, grocery shopping, work. So much to do with so little time. Life is good. Crazy, on the go. Do you think that God may stop us for a reason? Does he slow things down or take something away to grab our attention? Are there moments of desperation for a reason? Or is he the core?

Mindy Clark: Grace.
http://mindyclark0803.blogspot.com/2013/05/grace.html
Tuesday, May 28, 2013. One of my dearest friends in the world, Aurora Vilchis, continually encourages me. even when she doesn't mean to. That's just who she is. You feel the love of Jesus shining out of her, even when she doesn't try. One day I was visiting her to let our little baby loves play, and I saw these words on the home screen of her laptop:. I will hold myself to a standard of Grace, not perfection". Or how often do we give up on others because they don't measure up? I serve a perfect God whose...
