Monday, December 8, 2008. This stadium is home to one of the oldest held rivals on the South Shore. North Quincy vs. Quincy High School football - among other sports these days! Built in 1937 and overdue for a face lift! I didn't realize how neglected the stadium was until I clicked this picture! The City of Presidents. Labels: Veterans Memorial Stadium. Thursday, December 4, 2008. QUINCY MAYOR TOM KOCH. Quincy Mayor Tom Koch accompanied by his children Cornelius, Abigail and Tom Jr. march in Quincy’s 56th Annual Christmas Parade. Tom was inaugurated as Quincy’s 33rd Mayor on January 8, 2008. His father Richard Koch was a strong force in our community. Like his father he believes in community; as he said at his inauguration ‘every citizen holds office’. The City of Presidents. Labels: Mayor Tom Koch. December 6, 2008 at 11:14 PM. Tuesday, December 9, 2008. CITY HALL PLAZA LIGHTS. Ran into roving reporter Dan Hausle from Channel 7 (where if it bleeds it leads) around 10pm tonight on City Hall Plaza. Apparently still stalking the Mayor over the "breaking news" regarding the carpet at City Hall. Slow news week or what? Obviously fueled by someone with an ax to grind. News coverage leaves a bitter taste in my mouth, they've all stooped to the likes of The Enquirer! Sad very sad. Thank God for Channel 2. The City of Presidents.

Mostly from the Quincy area, Massachusetts. Monday, May 31, 2010. World War II memorial statue in Merrymount Park, Quincy, MA. This statue was originally unveiled in front of city hall (Nov 11, 2002), then on December 6, 2005 was moved to its current location. Many of the bricks around the statue are inscribed with names of those from Quincy that served in that war. Sunday, May 30, 2010. Not many people were shopping on Saturday, how about you? Saturday, November 29, 2008. THE RICHARDSON BUILDING 1882. Another view of the Thomas Crane Public Library. Beyond the Richardson Building is the tower of Bethany Congregational Church, a Quincy-skyline landmark; four large gargoyles cast in concrete look down over the city. The City of Presidents. Labels: Thomas Crane Public Library. My future mother in law commented on the gargoyles just the other day. I never thought of it before, but they're kind of creepy! November 29, 2008 at 2:43 PM.

Sunday, November 30, 2008. The Quincy Parade came down the street today regardless of the sleet that came with it. This float by the Quincy Credit Union depicted Christmas television favorites as you can see with the Grinch that Stole Christmas and Frosty the Snowman. The City of Presidents. Labels: Quincy Christmas Parade. Great shot and cool float! I'm glad you didn't use a Ronald McDonald shot - he creeps me out! December 1, 2008 at 12:54 PM. The City of Presidents.
