What you can do or dream you can, begin it. Boldness has genius, power and magic in it. Not Lost in Translation. Help Molly, Help Paraguay! I’m currently in my twentieth month of Peace Corps service in Paraguay and lots of you have asked how you can help me or help my community while I’ve been here. I finally have a good answer–. Please share in the journey of re-opening the old train station of Paraguari as a community and cultural center for all of its citizens. A smile on your face. Often called the h...

On to the next one...South Korea: Phu Quoc
http://ontothenextonesouthkorea.blogspot.com/2011/03/phu-quoc.html
Thursday, March 24, 2011. We had planned on spending a day in Can Tho before heading to Phu Quoc. But seeing as this was impossible, we ended up getting to Phu Quoc a day earlier than planned, which was not a bad thing at all. Phu Quoc. Is the largest island in Vietnam and lies extremely close to Cambodia. The following day we met Julie and Quinn. That night was Tet, so we went to the local night market to grab some dinner and watch the fireworks. Posted by Sam Schofield. All photos by Chris Bailey.

Monday, February 7, 2011. Malaysia: Kuala Lumpur Day 1. Asia's version of America's Southwest. Had the world's smallest chairs that were definitely built for Asian's and not me. Not really what I had expected at all. I expected huge city, big lights, lots more buildings that looked like the Petronas Towers. Our first day in KL we just wandered the city. We checked into our hostel, the Classic Inn. Clearly he's the Indian guy in the center. Quinn. And this brand called Hackett. For 10 Ringgit (or about 3 ...

What you can do or dream you can, begin it. Boldness has genius, power and magic in it. Not Lost in Translation. The Cultural Conductors are chugging right along and they held their first major event on my birthday: Estación Abierta. Thanks to all of the people who donated to my Peace Corps partnership grant, my fellow Peace Corps volunteers who came to help out, community groups who collaborated, and the hardwork of the Conductors, the event was a major success. Tell people about it:. You are commenting...

What you can do or dream you can, begin it. Boldness has genius, power and magic in it. Not Lost in Translation. The Conductores Culturales held their second Estación Abierta (Open Station) at the train station in Paraguari on Saturday, June 8th. What you can do or dream you can, begin it. Boldness has genius, power and magic in it. Not Lost in Translation. The Espacio Cultural La Estación. Is having a photo contest to celebrate our upcoming Open Station event– which will be the third and last event managed by the current team of Cultural Conductors. This has me both excited to see my family, friends and catch the end of United States Summer, and simultaneously panicked and sad about leaving Paraguay. So much to do, so little time! Monday, February 7, 2011. Malaysia: KL - Days 2/ 3. Kuala Lumpur Days 2 / 3. Day 2 in KL we got off to a relatively late start considering we went out a little bit the night before. The plan was still the same, head to the Batu Caves. The Batu Caves are a holy Hindu. Site that is a shrine to Lord Murugan. Who, after I just read his wikipedia, learned that he is a Hindu. We got the free breakfast from the hostel, which consists of free roti. We hopped on the subway for 40 minutes or so and showed up right...

Thursday, February 24, 2011. After a night in Phuket, we were all ready to get out of there and head off to the famed Ko Phi Phi. If you have seen Leo DiCaprio in "The Beach", this is where it was filmed. It's breathtakingly beautiful. Friends had been to Phi Phi in the past year or so and recommended this awesome place called Viking Resort. Also, here's a picture of the outdoor shower as well as the inside of the room. The following day we signed up for a tour of all 5 of the Phi Phi. Was all about....
