Race Reports and Random Thoughts of the Mock Orange Racing Cycling Team. Sunday, June 6, 2010. 3 Mountain Madness - my 75 Mile ride report. This was my fifth straight 3 Mountain Madness. The past two years I've had bad experiences with the 3 Mountain ride. Those experiences involve things like getting dropped on Sauratown and/or Hanging Rock, losing gobs of time on the descents, chasing like crazy alone or with one or two other desperados, burning myself up way too early and struggling just to finish.

Biking to Beat Cancer. Friday, June 26, 2009. Mountain Biking Last Night. Rode mountain bikes at Bur-mil. Last night with Dave and Marty. We met at Dave’s place and rode the greenway over to the start of Owl’s Roost. I had forgotten how tough the little entrance to the woods there was, so I was slow going up but made it. Was very hot and humid in the woods; stopping meant being drenched in your own sweat, while riding at least gave some relief with your own breeze that riding makes. We rode Owl's Roost.

We often hear athletes in Pre-Kona interviews that it takes the will to win the race. Will and passion go long ways in sports, especially in endurance events.
