As a web developer, we build alot of car dealership websites in which we link to the national car ocmpany's website for info, but we always do so as a pop-up window with no navigation so taht you are forced to merely close the window when you are done and return to the dealer website. Why do we do this?

Wednesday, November 16, 2005. This was my favorite piece to read for this class! I'm really happy that there are outspoken people like Lessig who are raising hell! Posted by danielle @ 5:55 PM. Wednesday, November 09, 2005. I update the site (using dreaded html) and I understand what makes a user-friendly website and what doesn't, but I do not know how to build a website. I have a designer who, in conjunction with me, designed a website, but I don't know how to actually build one. The key to making this ...

Sometimes I Go Invisible. 4th year college student, majoring in English (Writing). This blog was established for my Cyberspace Class. Thursday, October 20, 2005. My personal webtopic still needs clarifying but in esscence it will be about how the internet has changed language, vocabulary, types of writing, and thought proccess. Bloggy McBlog: October 2005

Monday, October 17, 2005. Does a smart mob commit textual assault? Rheingold delivered the biggest culture shock I've ever had in his essay Smart Mobs: The Power Of Many. I suppose the idea of a mob being able to assemble via text messages and mobile phones isn't really all that far fetched an idea, but I never even considered the idea that it would happen! In 2001, residents of the Phillippines toppled their president's reign by communicating via text messages. Unbelievable. And now I read this essay.

Wednesday, February 27, 2008. 1 Familiarize yourself with the topic. My topic: Why do we feel the need to be someone we are not on the internet? 2 Identify some questions. Why are people going on sites such as myspace and facebook and posing as someone they aren’t? What types of people (age groups) are being attracted to these websites? And what is it about the site that attracts them and makes them want to open up? Is there a thrill do it? Do they get something out of it? What are the dangers? Http:/ an...

Writing for Cyberspace: Blog 11: Consequences
http://jaclynberry.blogspot.com/2008/04/blog-11-consequences.html
Monday, April 14, 2008. Teachers need to be aware that they can be held responsible for all the information they post online. Students, or even school administrators, can get access to their pages and if they feel that they are reading inappropriate material, action may be taken against the teacher. Let's review the consequences of the previous cases. Is it fair for them? April 14, 2008 at 11:36 AM. Or only those two? April 14, 2008 at 11:37 AM. I agree with Daphne. I really like the examples that yo...
