Journey to Badwater: Hissy Fit!
http://alenegonebad.blogspot.com/2013/02/hissy-fit.html
Running 135 miles across Death Valley and back in July and other ultra adventures. Scatter my ashes here. Scatter my ashes in the desert. Friday, February 1, 2013. Today was one of those loosey-goosey mornings. I took the girls out for their morning run, and Isabelle wanted to come home after 2 miles, so we went home and then I went back out with Iris. Iris has a way of finding the geese, with her built-in GPS app, which means goose poop sniffing if you're new to the blog. She doesn't seem to understand ...

Even the Best Laid Plans Backfire Sometimes. Weekend Recap – Weight Loss Edition →. Earlier this week, I read about Stacey Irvine. Where most people fail in this scenario is that they give themselves a “free pass” to eat whatever they want once, then again. And again. And again! The things that have worked for me over the past week:. What I haven’t given up:. A cup had just about 115 calories, and it went very well with our grilled chicken and rice. I walked away full, satisfied and happy. For 140 calori...

Live. Run. Hope.: And so it begins...
http://liverunhope.blogspot.com/2012/07/back-in-january-i-had-bright-idea-to.html
Live Run. Hope. Tuesday, July 24, 2012. And so it begins. The other part of it was that I felt like there is just too much to say, and yet none of it would be interesting to the general public. I wanted to be eloquent. To be profound. I think I have finally accepted that maybe I should just be me. So here I am :). I chose the name of this blog "Live. Run. Hope" because I really want this blog to be about the crazy things that happen in our daily lives. I can't make this stuff up, people! And so it begins.

Live. Run. Hope.: August 2012
http://liverunhope.blogspot.com/2012_08_01_archive.html
Live Run. Hope. Tuesday, August 28, 2012. DNS or DNF. what's worse? Well, it's here. Jay Peak 25K is this Sunday. Sadly, my training really never picked up after my foot issues which still plague me. I have gotten in a few hikes, and an occasional run but that's it. So, now I am left with a philosophical question, "What's worse, DNS (did not start) or DNF (did not finish)? A good friend suggested that perhaps DNS really stands for "Did Nothing Stupid". Maybe I should listen to him. What would you do?

Once upon a Snork..: September 2013

Once upon a Snork. San Onofre State Park Campground. Sardine Camping for the Seasoned Flea Market Vendors. I imagine that's what it would feel like, sitting in your tent right in the parking lot, staring at the road and hundreds of other tents. The google image that tipped us off. It's a pricey site, at $35 a night, plus $15 second vehicle fee per night. Unless, I get this:. That's a drop off behind that picnic table. This is spot #114. For comparison, this is my tent:. That is a wall of dirt behind it.

Once upon a Snork..: Pumpkin Fairy Jackie Lantern in Butterick 4434
http://maidensnork.blogspot.com/2013/10/pumpkin-fairy-jackie-lantern-in.html
Once upon a Snork. Pumpkin Fairy Jackie Lantern in Butterick 4434. Last year, I used McCalls 6238 for the Alice in Wonderland dress. It was a great little template dress, and when I went to look for it this year (because I cut out size S, and now need a L) it has gone out of print, and no JoAnns in SoCal had it. I even checked the Palmdale desert JoAnn's. That's commitment. Enter the Pottery Barn Kids Pumpkin Fairy dress that I saw at the mall, and WANTED, and found the $80 price a little hard to swallow:.

Once upon a Snork. The Brilliant Mouse and Spring Swimsuits. I was getting ready to call Harvard earlier today. Mouse can drink from a straw! She didn't know anything about straws earlier today, or cups. And now, she can drink from a straw. It took one night to make 3 muslins for the shorts alone, one night to set up the serger, another night to fix the serger after I messed with it too much, and a couple of nights of Half Marathon training zapping all of my will to move and just spacing out at PatternRe...

Once upon a Snork. What's in Your Potty? Potty is for Playing. Seen Mr Snork move so fast, and we've played volleyball together) but she was neither super impressed nor convinced that that's a good use of her potty. Even the Oreo didn't really get her riled up to celebrate. Knew I was doing it wrong. I have a picture of that, too, but I have since realized that it's probably not the case where a picture is worth a 1000 words. She's just in it for the cookies, but I don't care. I was happy to see that Jan...
