Life on a Hill. My younger son has invited us to spend Christmas with him and his family in the U.S as, he said, his kids have never got to spend Christmas with their grandparents. So we are going and I'm excited! We get there mid November and I am hoping I get to see some Fall colours at least and presumably we get to see snow. Life on a Hill. End of a packed 13 weeks. But I'm bluer than blue. Life without (all of)you is gonna be. All my 4 grandchildren were here and my son and wife from the US. The Indian grandkids live fairly close by and so I will see them fairly often. But the Americans we will not get to see- in the flesh- only after a year. Youth is what seems so prized, that today, so many people- who can no longer make any claim to youth- wish to continue looking young and put themselves through so much, to achieve that end. But I am guessing that even those who want to look. Yesterdays are what those folks, not in their youth, have plenty of. My yesterdays form a kaleidoscope of colour, some blue, some really dark, dark and some bright and rainbow-like. And wiggle your waggles away. ".

Tuesday, January 28, 2014. Monday, January 13, 2014. Last day, winter 2014 here. Today is the last day of our stay here in Chicagoland this winter. Luckily it's been a great day weather wise, much warmer (actually a few degrees above 0C after a long while of below 0! You can see geese/duck footprints on the ice- just about. Wednesday, August 21, 2013. Tonight there is a full moon. I love full moon nights- the play of silvery light and the chiaroscuro effect of the trees against the moon. I was out walking in the moonlight, and everything- the falling rupee, the corruptions and scams going on around us, all the unpleasantness of the world out there seemed far away.
