Cruising, racing and maintaining Gull dinghies. Friday, 12 June 2015. Norfolk Broads Gull Cruise 2015 in pictures - Part 6. On the other side of the Potter Heigham bridges we were joined by Neil and Paula who had sailed up from Hickling. After lunch we all sailed back to Whispering Reeds together and we were met by Paul Webb and partner sailing their very seaworthy Bosun dinghy. I didn't take many more pictures, I guess I was simply too happy enjoying the sail back! Links to this post.

An eel fishery on the river Thurne. At one time eel traps would have been submerged in the river and a red "traffic" light would show to warn passing boats. The traps would have to be removed to allow boats to pass. Arrived at Potter Heigham. And time for coffee before passing under the bridges. Gull Video Library -.

Gull Dinghy Sailing: Bucklers Hard.
http://gulldinghysailing.blogspot.com/2015/03/bucklers-hard.html
Cruising, racing and maintaining Gull dinghies. Thursday, 26 March 2015. An exhausting few weeks and the tail end of a cold bug meant that I would remain ashore with a beer and sandwich while Nick and Richard went sailing. It was nice to relax in the sunshine and study the tide charts for a sail here in the near future. Nick launched while Richard was still stuck in traffic and made it down to the mouth of the river. Richard followed on about an hour later. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).
