Sunday, March 23, 2008. When I bought the boat it already had Weaver. Installed. The problem with them was that the swim platform is a little low so when the dinghy is lowered it sat at a 30 degree angle. Aside from being aesthetically unpleasing, it placed a lot of pressure on the davits and made them difficult to release. Apparently this is not an uncommon problem and Weaver has a solution in the form of 4 inch extensions. I ordered a set from Go2Marine. And they arrived in just a few days. There was o...

Sunday, May 11, 2008. I've been putting off one of my must do projects, but the time has finally come to do it. I had my hand forced a bit, I had an exhaust manifold gasket blow, so since I have to do that I may as well have a look at the risers. I spent the better part of four hours today pulling one set. One down, three to go. The first set was something of a learning experience, so I think the remaining ones will come off faster. More to come as I pull the other three.

Sunday, May 19, 2013. Winter Project Roundup - Part I. This project has been at the top of my to-do list for a long time. When we bought the boat it came with a tiny six gallon holding tank. With a family of four, even being extra careful (i.e. - the kids aren't allowed to flush! The tank would barely last a day. What if I chose one that wasn't big enough?
