I'm a runner?: Me Again
http://eisarierun.blogspot.com/2012/02/me-again.html
Not that I haven't been running the last (gosh, couple years) but if you still have me on your reader and you're interested, I've got a new zest. I've gotten leaner (-30lb), fitter, faster (7:40 mile), and have some new challenges planned (sub-2 13.1, my first 26.2) . Let me know if you're still with me. More soon! HH10K Week 1: Wednesday Cross Training | Run! Run! Adventures in Couch to 5k

Adventures in Couch to 5k. 8220;It was hard, but I did it.”. April 23, 2008. HH10K Week 1: Wednesday Cross Training. Posted by runrun1 under HH10K- Week 1. I rode on my bike for thirty minutes of “crosstraining” as requested by Hal. Biking the route that I’ve been running reminded me why I’ve always liked biking so much– it’s FASTER! Hal says: Thursday: 2 mile run, followed by strength. I say: 2 miles? Oh, PS: I finally found an aspirational photo to post on my fridge:. April 23, 2008 at 11:13 pm. I̵...

Okay, while it’s still fresh in my mind, here is absolutely everything I remember about my first 5k race this past Saturday:. The night before the race I was so nervous and excited. Everything I did made me think of the race– what kind of dinner should I eat to be fully and optimally fueled for the race? Turn to page five in your text books!

I'm a runner?: Woah...
http://eisarierun.blogspot.com/2012/02/woah.html
So weight is not a primary goal for me anymore, but fun to see my progress since I last reported it . Waist - 28.5 (-4.6). Hips - 39.5 (-3.0). Thigh - 23.0 (-3.0). Arm - 12.5 (-1.75). Primary change I made? Weight training. I've been doing 3-4 days/wk of relatively heavy weights. I made no conscious changes to my diet other than increasing my protein intake (extra 35g protein after each weight workout). I'm relatively certain my increase in speed stems primarily from having less mass to move around.

I'm a runner?: RACE REPORT!
http://eisarierun.blogspot.com/2008/06/race-report.html
My first race report! Well to start out with what you really wanna know - Finish time: 35:43. I got to the race pretty early - the registration info said registration was from 7:30a - 8:45a and it was about 8:10a when I got there. I didn't "warm-up" per se because I felt kind of dumb, but I did walk around quite a bit and stretch my calves and shins as much as possible. I also had to walk a few blocks to use the bathroom. haha. I did get a trophy however. And I was 13th out of 19 women overall (not c...

I'm a runner?: As promised ... sort of.
http://eisarierun.blogspot.com/2009/05/as-promised-sort-of.html
As promised . sort of. There weren't too many pics of me from the race. Zero from the course itself - Since I had my bib number on my shorts, I think my shirt may have been covering part it at times. There are some from the finish line but I'm kinda in a clump of people. My post-race photo turned out pretty good, though. Good pic. :). I've been considering putting my bib on my shorts for the next race. This may be a reason not to. How come you're moving to DC? Post schooling job, or further education?

Posted by: Run For Life. 2 October, 2009. Went for a blissful 45 minute run this morning and then caught up on some of my ever-piling-higher emails. This “Daily Kick in the Butt” says it all:. Even after all these years, running continues to amaze me. Mostly in its ability to clarify – to make things OK and bring you back down to earth, even when things are insane. Especially when things are insane. Mark Remy, Executive Editor,. Laquo; Quick changes. I absolutely agree. What a succinct sentence.
