Eine Ethik-Kommission setzt sich aus Medizinern, Naturwissenschaftlern, Juristen, Philosophen und Theologen zusammen. Sie beraten Wissenschaftler bei ethischen und rechtlichen Fragen ihrer Forschungsarbeiten. Jede klinische Studie sollte durch eine Ethikkommission überprüft werden.

Mikroorganismen wie Bakterien, Viren und Pilze besiedeln die unterschiedlichsten Umgebungen, so auch den menschlichen Körper. Als Mikrobiom bezeichnet man die Gesamtheit aller Mikroorganismen, die einen bestimmten Lebensraum besiedeln. Beispielsweise werden alle Mikroorganismen des Darms als Darm-Mikrobiom bezeichnet. Ist die Teilnahme auf Einwohner Tübingens beschränkt?

Über Tübiom ▾. Teilnehmer für weitere Mikrobiom-Studie gesucht. Im Rahmen des Tübiom Projektes führen wir zunächst eine 16S Mikrobiom-Analyse der Proben durch. Das 16S rRNA Gen ist ein bakterielles Gen, das konservierte und variable Bereiche enthält. Wie der Name schon vermuten lässt, sind die konservierten Bereiche des Genes bei unterschiedlichen Bakterien gleich. In den variablen Regionen hingegen, nimmt die Ähnlichkeit zu, je näher verwandt zwei Stämme miteinander sind.
