Friday, November 21, 2014. After a long hiatus from blogging, I'm back with my latest adventure. LONDON! I'll have to add my photos when I get back to the States, but until then, here's what we're up to! We wandered around the park for a while, stopped by the Princess Diana Memorial Fountain, and ended up at the impressive Albert Memorial. All of that walking and jet-lag left us exhausted, so we met back up with the W clan for yummy Indian take-out from Holy Cow (haha). We're on a double-decker bus!

Wednesday, February 22, 2012. On December 12th I left NYC for a 10-day guided trip to Israel called Birthright. My trip was with Israel Outdoors and specifically focused on exploring the country "by foot" (lots of hiking). The second day there, I broke my wrist (that's a whole other blog post), but I still had the most AMAZING experience! Everyone in my group was very down-to-earth and really helped me as I struggled to conquer Israel one-handed. Synagogue window in Tzvat. Praying at the Western Wall.

Last night I gave a final presentation as part of a group that has been working on a feasibility study with the business school at Emory and the ECHO foundation ( http:/ www.operationecho.org/. To create an ophthalmology facility in San Pedro Sula, Honduras. It made me realize (along with my cousin's prodding) that I have not updated this blog in quite a while! The first trip was 10 days and the second was a quick 4-day business trip. Here are pictures from my experiences!

Friday, July 23, 2010. Wow, has it been over a month already since I updated this thing? My internship also involves tons of field shadowing experiences. We followed county health department inspectors during restaurant and swimming pool inspections; set up and collected mosquito traps with the state entomologist; and I had my first business trip! Our hotel was right on the beach, so I got a little bit of sun. Cocoa Beach Bay at sunset (view from a restaurant). Me, Rachel and Hannah.

I love being completely surrounded by mountains. I don't usually like going out and doing something until I am in the middle of it. This made me think of Roni Horn, and her series "Some Thames," repeating photographs of that river. Both are slippery, but sparkling.
