Oh, Snapps!: Ode to the end of maternity leave.
http://oh-snapps.blogspot.com/2009/06/ode-to-end-of-maternity-leave.html
Thursday, June 25, 2009. Ode to the end of maternity leave. No photos, but what a milestone day! June 24 marked Liam and Coralie's first day at daycare, the official end of my long and blissful maternity leave, and my first day back at work (not to mention, my first day working in an actual office. Fortunately, we can rest easy knowing that they are in the care of a wonderful and loving woman - and the hard part is juggling work while counting down the hours each day until we can see our babies again!

Oh, Snapps!: A wet weekend
http://oh-snapps.blogspot.com/2009/06/weekend-in-review.html
Wednesday, June 3, 2009. This past weekend was interesting. On Saturday morning, we woke up to do some laundry, when lo and behold - we discovered about 3 inches of water covering half of our basement. Yikes! All in all, a definite pain-in-the-butt situation, but thankfully, one that was not terribly complicated nor expensive to resolve. And on the plus side, at least it forced us to finally pare down some of the things we've let pile up in the basement! And that 12 weeks is not too young to try sitting ...

Oh, Snapps!: April 2009
http://oh-snapps.blogspot.com/2009_04_01_archive.html
Wednesday, April 29, 2009. One of the most amusing pieces of advice we've received as new parents is to "sleep when the babies sleep." Well, easier said than done, my friends. While this sounds like a reasonable suggestion, there are a few reasons why it's proving to be next to impossible. First of all,. Gee, if we had just one baby, we probably would be sleeping a lot more." However, if they ever. Now, this is not to say that we have fussy babies. They are just babies, and babies fuss. that's j. Occurre...

Oh, Snapps!: July 2009
http://oh-snapps.blogspot.com/2009_07_01_archive.html
Saturday, July 25, 2009. Michigan, here we come! This weekend the babies are embarking on their first road trip. The occasion? To see their large extended family in Michigan, of course! We've spent the last few days planning and strategizing the best way to drive 8-9 hours with two 4 1/2-month-old infants, and decided our best bet is to leave super-early on Saturday morning, crossing our fingers that the darkness will lure them to keep on sleeping for as long as possible. We'll see how it goes! These pho...

Oh, Snapps!: Happy Friday!
http://oh-snapps.blogspot.com/2009/07/happy-friday.html
Friday, July 17, 2009. Well, not much news to report. other than that the babies are just as cute as ever, of course! As you can hopefully see, Coralie and Liam have really started to become more easily distinguishable to the casual observer. We have gone from everyone thinking they are identical to now. Thinking that Coralie is a little Joe and Liam is a little Sarah! Last week was their 4-month checkup, and we are happy to report that all is well. They are still. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

Oh, Snapps!: December 2008
http://oh-snapps.blogspot.com/2008_12_01_archive.html
Saturday, December 20, 2008. Any day now. or so you would think. Today marks the first day of my third trimester. Hooray! We're two-thirds of the way there, babies. (Though actually, more, since twins never go completely to full term.) This also means that. So while my "house arrest" orders initially seemed extreme, I am now seeing the importance of taking it easy, and minimizing stress and physical activity, just so we can keep our babies gestating as long as possible. Or "Looks like any day now! To go ...

Oh, Snapps!: November 2008
http://oh-snapps.blogspot.com/2008_11_01_archive.html
Monday, November 24, 2008. In defense of parking for new or expectant moms. The farther you go out into the 'burbs, the more you see prime parking spaces for new or expectant moms at supermarkets and strip malls. And for years, I wondered: does. They always seemed empty. to the point when I couldn't find a regular space, that I would start to feel pretty darn tempted to park in one. Especially when I would see perfectly un-pregnant-looking women (and sometimes men) doing exactly what I was only. Redskins...

Oh, Snapps!: February 2009
http://oh-snapps.blogspot.com/2009_02_01_archive.html
Monday, February 23, 2009. So, good news - now that we are at 37 weeks, the babies are considered full term! As always, we are so happy to have made it another week, and to have come this far. Surprisingly, the doctors report that I am not showing much of any signs of la. Bor yet - though that, of course, can change quickly. Instead, the issue I have been dealing with is blood pressure, of all things, which has been going on for the last 4 weeks. It has been up and down - mostly not. Pregnancy as a big o...
