ABC Days: Scholastic Books
http://abcschooldays.blogspot.com/p/scholastic-book-clubs.html
It’s that time of year again – Scholastic Book Club is back! Not only are the books fun for your kids, but ABC School receives points for every book you order. The teachers then use those points to pick out new books for the school. Look through the flyers (sent home in your child's folder) and mark your book selections on each order form on the back page of each flyer. Send in the order form and payment (cash or check) to ABC School in your child’s folder. We also have an online ordering option.

ABC Days: November 2014
http://abcschooldays.blogspot.com/2014_11_01_archive.html
Tuesday, November 4, 2014. The week of Halloween, the Kindergartners and 1st graders enjoyed several Halloween Science Experiments. First, we took many different chocolate candy bars and predicted which one would sink or float. Then, we tested our predictions. Next, we had frozen hands with Halloween treats inside. After pouring salt onto the hands, we watched them melt so we could get a treat! We combined baking soda and vinegar to make little ghost volcanoes. For Fun Food Friday, we made Witches Brew!

Tuesday, September 30, 2014. Apples, Apples, Apples! We have had so much fun with apples, we had to carry on the theme for two weeks! For Fun Food Friday, we gave each child a slice of red, yellow and green apples. Then, we gave them caramel, chocolate, and marshmallow creme dip. The children loved trying all three dips on their apples! The children brought in some well thought out and planned Show and Tell items this week. Poem of the Week. Every week, the K/1 group learns a poem related to the theme.
