STARworks Garden: Summer in the garden
http://starworksgarden.blogspot.com/2012/05/summer-in-garden.html
Friday, May 25, 2012. Summer in the garden. I have been too busy with real life, to keep up with the blog, but here's an over-due report on what's been going on. A few weeks ago we held a workshop "Seed to Flower" with Star Elementary first graders. 43 kids total - together in the garden! We managed well, working in two groups - planting seeds and painting garden labels that the kids could take home with a seed packet. All the seeds have germinated and the sunflowers and zinnias are growing well! Same go...

STARworks Garden: 3/1/11 - 4/1/11
http://starworksgarden.blogspot.com/2011_03_01_archive.html
Thursday, March 24, 2011. My apologies for not blogging for a while. Plenty has been going on, and I will try to give a little overview of more important happenings. For the third year in a row STARworks Garden, with the help of Greg Bender and Hugh Martin, held Shiitake and Oyster mushroom cultivation workshops. Hugh first guided us through some basics via Power Point presentation. Then it was time to roll up the sleeves and get to work. Alice Clemens here, having fun drilling the logs. Santiago brought...

Wednesday, April 6, 2011. I think all of my posts should be titled "Catching Up". So much happens, so little time to blog! Let's see. We planted potatoes last Friday morning:) Gloria and Anna came out to help me. Keep your fingers crossed that they will grow and sometime in midsummer we will harvest a ton of potatoes! Here's a tater in it's hole:) I had bought seed of Red Pontiac, and Irish Cobbler from Weston's Feed and Seed. Took it out. waited, still nothing. I had to fill it back up a few times.

Monday, December 13, 2010. I owe y'all big time. It's been a long time since I last reported on the happenings at the Garden. And it's not because nothing has happened. Quite the opposite. The last BIG thing that needs to be mentioned was Central Park's Annual Gathering in October. STARworks Ceramics. STARworks Garden CSA has wrapped up it's season for now. We stretched our luck until the end of November. And what a year this was! Tomatoes as late as mid November! Roses - just a few weeks ago! 2’nd...

Under The BIG blue Sky. Different kinds of dreams. Of the earth →. May 2, 2011 · 12:34 pm. I have no joy in the death of Osama bin Laden. i do not dance in the streets. chant for my country or wave my flag. I have only a reminder of that which was lost and a reminder that there is much more work to do to bring peace to this place. When life becomes more important than death. When love holds a higher place than self-importance, greed or power. When nations or religions or cultures unite. Tagged as just now.

Creating space for beauty and simplicity. June 4, 2015. I tend to take most of the photos inside my home during the day soaking in the sun light that filters in but last night I looked up to see Hannah drawing lamp-side and had to grab my camera. After I took the photo I walked around the house to click a few more photos, appreciating the soft light of each room. I have quite a collection of lamps in all shapes and sizes, mostly thrifted, some new and even hand made. Chris (the one who prefers bright...
