When Did This Become a Farm? Homesteading, Homeschooling, and Homemaking in the PNW. July 31, 2016. Lots of Meat Processed and in Two Weeks I’ll Have to Do it Again. I have been so busy this week. On Sunday we butchered 5 rabbits, two of which were 8 pounders and the rest were not that much smaller. On Tuesday we cut them up portioned out enough for 2 dinners, then deboned the rest and ground it. I also made rabbit jerky with the abdominal flaps and the result of that was to fill a quart size baggy.

May Update | C. J.'s Bunnies

C J's Bunnies. A blog about my adventures raising rabbits. I haven’t bred Snowball again. I was going to right after she lost her last litter, but I decided I didn’t want an over-population of kits. I will breed her after I have gotten rid of the majority of Secret’s kits. I will probably breed Secret again as well since her kits look good. This entry was posted in New Zealand Rabbits. When Did This Become a Farm? Homesteading, Homeschooling, and Homemaking in the PNW. August 11, 2015. When Box Fans Attack…Or I Broke My Nose. I haven’t driven yet between the painkillers and concussion, but think I will be able to in another couple of days. I hope so, anyway, as my husband just went back up to Alaska tonight. Anyway, that’s why I haven’t blogged for a while. Today I dried 8 trays of basil and 1 tray of garlic. The garlic was the last of what I had from last year’s braid. W...Leave a Rep...

Devastated | When Did This Become a Farm?

When Did This Become a Farm? Homesteading, Homeschooling, and Homemaking in the PNW. July 24, 2015. My cousin’s daughter died today. She was not much older than my daughter. I can’t stop crying. Her life was just starting. I wish I could stop thinking about it. They are so far away from most of the family. I know she is with the Lord now and that helps my head, but it doesn’t do much for my heart right now. This entry was posted in Uncategorized. 3 thoughts on “ Devastated. July 24, 2015 at 9:24 pm.

Well, so far things are going well for the surviving kit. I have been taking it out about twice a day to be fed by Snowball. I just hope her milk doesn’t stop because of only one kit nursing. This kit is a different color than the last kit I had to take care of. It actually is a really pretty color. Thanks for reading.🙂.
