After our overnight stay at Punta Salinas we motor-sailed to Puerto Los Gatos to see the beautiful red rocks. It was like Arizona meets the sea. We were surprised to find free range cattle on one of the beaches. Natalie didn’t want me to get any closer. The cows seemed to be saying, “This is a MOO beach.”. Sully decided to get out of the dinghy by himself.

We met in 2004 after Nate joined the Navy and was going to school at Villa Julie College near Baltimore, MD. Natalie was attending the University of Pittsburgh, majoring in psychology. After a one night stay at Puerto Escondido we made a quick motor out of the harbor to Honeymoon Cove. There were already some boats anchored in the cove, so we tucked into another cove south of Honeymoon for the night. A starfish or Estrella del Mar in Spanish.
