Sitting in that coach's office today, I experienced one of my most joyful moments as a mother, watching J as he accepted the chance to live out his dream. It's a moment that will stay with me forever. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). A Boy for All Seasons. Allergy update.the blood test results! Cheaper by the half dozen. http://homerunmama.blogspot.com/2014/04/a-bittersweet-ending.html
Striving to hit a grand slam in the game of motherhood. Saturday, April 19, 2014. As I sat watching Thursday's game, there were a lot of emotions bubbling inside. J's high school baseball years have been an experience that is hard to put into words. In fact, I've avoided doing so except to all but our closest friends(I just know Coach C is rolling his eyes reading this because he's been my sounding board throughout it all! Becoming My Me: Shop Local
http://becomingmyme.blogspot.com/2011/05/shop-local.html
Saturday, May 14, 2011. I am a firm believer in supporting local businesses, but sometimes it just seems easier to order what I need from the comfort of my home. I did just that on Tuesday when I ordered some presents from an online bookseller. It was slightly cheaper to buy them online and the ease of having them delivered to my door within 2 or 3 days was just too much to pass up. What is it they say about the best laid plans? Lesson learned again: Shop Local. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Do You...

Monday, January 31, 2011. Originally uploaded by celabbe. My husband gave me a sewing machine for Christmas and I was so excited. I immediately found a project for a crayon roll. And bought the materials. Unfortunately, my momentum died with buying the fabric, which is not an uncommon situation for me. I'm listening to Gretchen Rubin's book The Happiness Project. The Wee One is going to love it for Valentine's Day. Sunday, January 30, 2011. Originally uploaded by celabbe. Tuesday, January 25, 2011. This ...

Becoming My Me: March 2010

Wednesday, March 31, 2010. What is Your Playground Personality? Now that spring has arrived, I spend almost every waking moment outside. At least once a day, I find myself at one of the many parks. Around Evanston. I am lucky to live in a town where there are 59 parks with playgrounds. In a city of 75,000, that is a lot of playgrounds. First, there is Independence Park. Which is nice if you have any errands to run. If I feel like being social, Independence Park is the place to go. Thursday, March 25, 2010.

Becoming My Me: February 2010
http://becomingmyme.blogspot.com/2010_02_01_archive.html
Sunday, February 28, 2010. Date Night 4: Game Night, Part 2. For our fourth date night, as a part of Project 52: Date Nights. We once again played a game. I know, not exactly the most innovative idea, but it was a date. Unlike last time when we played Trivial Pursuit. For our fourth date, I headed to Target. To find a game. After examining all my options, I chose Pass the Pigs. Photo courtesy of Salvador Garcia/Dreamstime.com. Thursday, February 18, 2010. Date Night 3: Game Night. Project 52: Date Nights.
