Sunday, June 28, 2009. Living in Cambodia, Part 2. On bugs and pests:. Cambodian food is wonderful! Curries with tofu, and salads with shredded green papaya, peanuts, and other delicious delectables. While it may seem like the teacher is at fault, can you really blame them? Earning less than $1 per day hardly allows for survival, especially if they have families to feed. Sunday, May 31, 2009. Look At Us Now. Sovanna Phum has performances every Friday and Saturday night, playing to both the local Cambodian population, as well as foreigners. Typically, the performance is from the theatre's cannon of ten or so traditional puppet, dance, and drum shows, rotating throughout the year. Last weekend, my first in Cambodia, was a special treat. It was the premier of Look At Us Now. A contemporary dance performance presented at Sovanna Phum by New Cambodian Artists. Look At Us Now.
