Japan or Bust!: January 2009
http://lfjob.blogspot.com/2009_01_01_archive.html
Friday, January 23, 2009. Yesterday I got my second haircut in Japan. Many foreigners, like myself, find this a daunting task; there are lots of worrisome variables that go into it. How do we convey the cut we want? Will the hairstylist be able to adapt to our hair (it’s thicker/thinner than the average customer). How do we make a reservation? The hairstylist will ask questions, and if you don’t understand, a combination of hand-gestures, broken Japanese and English will pass. So, the haircut! Around the...

Japan or Bust!: August 2011
http://lfjob.blogspot.com/2011_08_01_archive.html
Monday, August 29, 2011. I went to a lovely small tea shop/restaurant last saturday with my friend Samantha. We had a nice early dinner of the house special, called " wagamama curry. Some of you might have heard the word wagamama. Since there is a chain of restaurants in the US called wagamama. It means selfishness, self-indulgence, etc. I think that, at least for the curry that we ordered, it is a play on words, waga. Meaning "our, my, one's own" and mama. Meaning.well, I'm sure you can guess. So unless...

Japan or Bust!: Day 2.5--I'm confused. (Let's just call this day 3 ^_^)
http://lfjob.blogspot.com/2011/08/i-question-point-of-this.html
Monday, August 15, 2011. Day 25- I'm confused. (Let's just call this day 3 ). Why did they make this? I question the point of this.No calories, no"sugariness; saccharinity"(whatever that means) and no alcohol! I guess it's for older salary men who quit drinking, younger men who are on a diet and stil l want to look masculine, and women who overly concerned with calorie counting. Oh, and supposidly it STILL tastes like beer. August 18, 2011 at 10:23 AM. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Al in Real Life.

http://lfjob.blogspot.com/2011/08/day-2-attempting-to-update-from-my-cell.html
Monday, August 15, 2011. Day 2-Attempting to update from my cell phone. Today I had a day trip in Tono City. It is famous for kappa, uber cute water demons. If you have read Harry Potter, they are mentioned in one of the first three books in the DADA class.with Lupin? Ugh, I don't remember.Anyway, one of the pictures I posted shows me as a kappa. Uber cute, right? Me as a kappa! Being carried away by a *not* perfect boy! I could look them up, but. Look at the pretty lights! Well, I did a second post!
