The Watery Gourmet: PRODUCT REVIEW: Lavazza Super Crema Coffee
http://thewaterygourmet.blogspot.com/2014/02/product-review-lavazza-super-crema.html
Thursday, February 13, 2014. PRODUCT REVIEW: Lavazza Super Crema Coffee. I love espresso, as I'm sure any regular reader of this website knows. I drink two shots per day: one to begin it, the other to end it. which makes it sounds like I drug my own coffee. Espresso is an exceptionally demanding mode of coffee preparation. Not only must the beans be good, they must be well-roasted and exceptionally fresh. If anything is off, your shot will come out poorly. I can also say with confidence that the beans ar...

The Watery Gourmet: A New Era?
http://thewaterygourmet.blogspot.com/2014/11/a-new-era.html
Thursday, November 6, 2014. Travel and dining. Think about it. Frequent flier miles, companion tickets, benefits, free VIP lounges, so much. Of credit cards are based on this illusion of people being upwardly mobile, jetsetting superhumans. That's absurd! People in America would have to fly back and forth from New York to LA ten times a year to make all of these credit cards make sense. Credit cards are not the root. Credit card benefits. Hell, the first credit card was called Diner's Club! I would like ...

The Watery Gourmet: PRODUCT REVIEW: Turkey Hill Ice Cream
http://thewaterygourmet.blogspot.com/2011/05/product-review-turkey-hill-ice-cream.html
Sunday, May 29, 2011. PRODUCT REVIEW: Turkey Hill Ice Cream. I've mentioned Turkey Hill in a few other reviews, but decided that it's deserving of its own, full review. What do you want when you get ice cream? I used to refer to this segment as the half-gallon segment. But, compliments of increasing food costs and a marketing belief that people are stupid and won't notice smaller packages, half-gallons no longer exist. Turkey Hill Ice Cream: HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. Re: I used to refer to this segment as the ...

The Watery Gourmet: PRODUCT REVIEW: Starbucks Casi Cielo Coffee
http://thewaterygourmet.blogspot.com/2011/01/product-review-starbucks-casi-cielo.html
Thursday, January 13, 2011. PRODUCT REVIEW: Starbucks Casi Cielo Coffee. I just bought a half-pound of Starbucks to get me through the snowstorm and gave their seasonal roast, Casi Cielo, a shot. I am legitimately impressed. I knew I was in for something different when the usual setting of "4" on my grinder was way. Too fine. The darker the roast, the finer the grind, and Starbucks ain't called Charbucks for nothing. So, I knew it was going to be different, but good? I was about to find out. Now, I know ...

The Watery Gourmet: Trader Joe's Milk Is Crappy For Steaming and Lattes/Cappuccinos
http://thewaterygourmet.blogspot.com/2012/08/trader-joes-milk-is-crappy-for-steaming.html
Tuesday, August 28, 2012. Trader Joe's Milk Is Crappy For Steaming and Lattes/Cappuccinos. I found a few mentions of this online, but I wanted to make a large, explicit post for any of those interested: Trader Joe's milk sucks. For milk steaming. Do not try to make lattes or cappuccinos out of this. You will not get microfoam. You will get vaguely good-looking foam that disintegrates. After nothing more than a single tap on the carafe. I think it has to do with the pasteurization process. Trader Joe'...

The Watery Gourmet: PRODUCT REVIEW: Wal-Mart Great Value V8 Fusion

Saturday, March 19, 2011. PRODUCT REVIEW: Wal-Mart Great Value V8 Fusion. Well, much like a musician when Weird Al parodies their work, or an entertainer being roasted by the Friars' Club, a product knows that it's hit when Wal-Mart produces a "Great Value" rip-off. V8 Fusion is officially a mega-hit. Great Value's juice isn't bad. Great Value V8 Fusion: RECOMMENDED. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Do you eat organic foods? My Most Recent Video Post. The Watery Gourmet: PRODUCT REVIEW: Lots of Soup
http://thewaterygourmet.blogspot.com/2011/02/product-review-lots-of-soup.html
Thursday, February 3, 2011. PRODUCT REVIEW: Lots of Soup. Soup is delicious, doncha' think? The problem with soup is, once you've had fresh soup, canned soups just taste terrible. The meat is all rubbery, the vegetables are lacking any sense of freshness, and there is a shocking deficiency in flavor and punch considering the salt levels. It was with this desire for good soup that I set about trying various small brands on the supermarket shelves. Pacific Foods Hearty Carton Soups: HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.
