All monies raised from such activities are used to help ACC achieve it's aims and objectives and supporting children in orphanages by improving medical care, education programs and nutrition. Australians Caring for Children Inc (ACC) is a voluntary, non-profit, non-political, non-sectarian association formed in 1987. Its main objective is the provision of aid to children in countries outside Australia who are in need and distress. These children have usually been orphaned, abandoned or relinquished, and who, for the most part, have been placed in the care of orphanages or children's homes. A number of the children from the orphanages ACC supports have been placed with adoptive families in Australia. Some of their stories can be found here. As part of our commitment to the children, ACC organises various social activities to ensure the children get to meet and interact with other children from the same cultural background, and develop friendships and support networks. ACC holds biannual get togethers as well as regular playgroups connecting the kids and their families. Click here.
