8220;We have the present? 8221; “So has the butterfly. But I would rather be a caterpillar with a future.” - George MacDonald. Wednesday, May 23, 2012. Today I’m sitting on the sunny porch of a Johannesburg house, feeling completely at home. They love to travel and have explored Abbu Dabi, Rome, Mikanos, Malawi (Nkhoma even! Zimbabwe, the list goes on. And they love wildlife and adventure. What a perfect combination :). Sorry, there are few exotic stories to tell you. But today especially, life is good :).

Floccinaucinihilipilification: First Impressions

8220;We have the present? 8221; “So has the butterfly. But I would rather be a caterpillar with a future.” - George MacDonald. Friday, May 04, 2012. I’m writing this by the light of a flickering candle on old-school notepaper to conserve laptop battery – ever so appropriate, since here also two realms collide. There is a light here, but insufficient to see by and this emergency candle has to do. Yet the dangers one can’t see are spoken of and people do not leave their homes at night. In this land of cont...

Jeremy's Scrapbook of Pictures: Sebring, Florida
http://desperateoptimism.blogspot.com/2009/05/sebring-florida.html
Jeremy's Scrapbook of Pictures. Saturday, May 9, 2009. Below is a picture of my house from the back. A look at the boathouse from the backyard. A look at the interior of the house, where I complete most of my work. An alligator swimming in the same area in which I had been swimming days before. Thankfully, this one is only a juvenile : ) Can you see its head? And no description of Sebring would be complete without a picture of an amazing sunset. Beautiful! May 11, 2009 at 7:20 AM. Floccinaucinihilipilification: Durban ho!
http://rutheology.blogspot.com/2012/06/durban-ho.html
8220;We have the present? 8221; “So has the butterfly. But I would rather be a caterpillar with a future.” - George MacDonald. Friday, June 08, 2012. A long ride in the mini-bus and we arrived in that Indian-flavoured African city. Aaron had his beautiful DSLR Canon along, and whenever we cracked it out for pictures we felt every eye gawking. In a place where people are killed for their shoes, we felt it was something of a liability. And we booked two rooms there for the night (for those wondering, rules...

Tidbits of Life in Bug: December 2008
http://tidbitsoflifeinbug.blogspot.com/2008_12_01_archive.html
Tidbits of Life in Bug. Saturday, December 27, 2008. There are two other tractors and a big road grader in the neighborhood, but their owners don't feel inclined to help out at all. Holly got a new bottle for her doll. Marie was present, bodily at least. Christmas get-together with Steve's family. These pics are frames from my new Flip camcorder (Steve and I agreed not to do gifts for each other, and then he bought me a great little camcorder). Thursday, December 18, 2008. In front of our house. We've be...

Jeremy's Scrapbook of Pictures: January 2009
http://desperateoptimism.blogspot.com/2009_01_01_archive.html
Jeremy's Scrapbook of Pictures. Monday, January 26, 2009. Florida's Fantastic Flora and Fauna. I can hear the groans of relief already. After years of begging for pictures of my life in Florida, here they are! I took these next two pictures from a few feet away. And then, there were the sandhill cranes. I saw four of them altogether on this day; two were too far for a photograph. Temporal realities meet eternal truths:. Is this a cooper's hawk? Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).
