Remembering storms you forgot! Laquo; March 7-8,1989 snowstorm. Holiday weather, 1988. Christmas Eve surface map 7 AM. December 28, 1988 7 AM. The temperatures were back to the 40’s on New Years Eve. The weather was clear for the midnight hour. The temperatures actually dropped on New Years Day, and we were set for some very cold weather in the coming months. Remembering storms you forgot! Laquo; February 5, 1989 snowfall. February 23-25,1989 Snowstorm. This was nothing more than a small band of flurries. The snow initiated around 9 AM, and it never really amounted to much. The flurries themselves accumulated 1″ in the time frame they fell. The snow let up by 11 AM. Wednesday, April 30, 2008. This date in Noreaster History 4/30. 1989- Early morning sou'wester caused rain and wind. The actual storm itself was brief. 29 mph was the peak gust. 1990- Soueaster impacted the region at nightfall. Fog was prevalent all day long, and finally came to a head with some light rain. A warm front was the cause of the precipitation. 1991-Another soueaster caused precipitation to fall. This time it stuck around for a bit. The winds were not a problem.
