The gringa adopts from Guatemala. Wednesday, June 20, 2007. The Abuelos Come to Town. My first visitors - the esteemed Aged P's - have now come and gone, a lovely interlude for me and (I feel I can speak for him here) el Pablito. He got some new faces smiling at him, for one. He got to go on lots of outings:. Heading out the back gate. Outside the Museo del Libro Antiguo. Shopping on 5th Ave. Lunch at Panza Verde. Up the hill to see the view (el P was unimpressed). Keeping fit at Cafe No Sé. My dishes se...

.: Our weekend with Nanny and Auntie MoMo
http://guatparentstobe.blogspot.com/2008/06/our-weekend-with-nanny-and-auntie-mo-mo.html
June 8, 2008. Our weekend with Nanny and Auntie MoMo. It was definitely an all girls weekend! Last weekend Nanny and Auntie Mo Mo made the long drive to PA from NH- they visited for 3 days. We had such a fun time- we laughed so hard I think Nate was probably wondering what was wrong with us! Nate LOVES to go out to eat and really do anything where he can see new things. We went to dinner, had a BBQ one day, and went shopping one afternoon! I am so excited that he will be starting swimming lessons soon.

The Twins Adoption Proceedings. Monday, April 28, 2008. President Colom is in Washington, D.C. meeting with Bush regarding immigration laws/problems. We are hoping to have a voice through our Senators during these meetings about the state of adoptions. .: Family Day- Father's Day
http://guatparentstobe.blogspot.com/2008/06/family-day-fathers-day.html
June 15, 2008. Family Day- Father's Day. The best part about special days like Father's Day is that we get to spend more time together as a family. When we got up this morning, Nate had a special present for his Dad- a card and a laminated poem with his footprints that he made at school. Please walk slower, Daddy,". Said Nathaniel so small. I'm walking in your footsteps. And I don't want to fall.". He said, I've been following. You Dad, isn't that cool,. I'm an atom from your own soul,. As tall as you are.

September 29, 2007. Just simply a perfect day! I honestly couldn't have asked for a better day! I am so excited to share that we received Preapproval today from the US Embassy in Guatemala. This is absolutely fantastic! We expected it around the 18th of October- so 23 days was incredibly fast and a welcomed surprise. I came home from the shower around 6:45 and opened my inbox. I was slowly reading through the 10 or so emails- and there it was! To put it mildly, I was shocked! My friend Cathy and I. I am ...

GringaMama: September 2007
http://gringamama.blogspot.com/2007_09_01_archive.html
The gringa adopts from Guatemala. Sunday, September 30, 2007. Out out out out OUT! Thank you, everyone, for your prayers, thoughts, good wishes, and general support. The journey has just begun! Monday, September 10, 2007. A month has gone by since my last post, and far too much has happened. The hardest has been some devastating (non-adoption) family news, but things on my Guatemalan home front aren't exactly upbeat. Now, what does this all have to do with me. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).
