About the Scale Matcher. This Scale Matcher was born out of jazz harmony conversations between Adam Spiers. Barak had been calculating the fewest notes are required to uniquely identify a particular mode of a scale as applied to a particular chord, and Adam remarked that it should be fairly easy to teach a computer to do that. An hour or two later, he had a prototype working which despite being extremely limited and rough around the edges, was producing some interesting results.
