http://kangarookevin.blogspot.com/2009/05/quick-weather-update.html
Steve Irwin Wombats Heath Ledger Kangaroos bbq etc. Perth, Australia, was once home to the Whadjuk Noongar people for over 40,000 years. It was first sighted by the Dutch, but then claimed by the silly British and settled by convicts. I will be spending a semester in this lovely land, learning and burning my fair skin under the sun. I heard somewhere that Perth is the sunniest city in the world. I hope that's true. Monday, May 11, 2009. It has rained four times since I've been in Australia.

le festival commence! | Sarah in Cannes
https://sarahincannes.wordpress.com/2009/05/13/le-festival-commence
Français – Anglais. 13 May 2009 at 12:07 pm. Today is the first day of the Cannes Film Festival and Cannes is charged with this amazing energy. I just returned from a great afternoon downtown, hanging around the Palais de Festivals… no celebrity sightings today, unfortunately, but I did sight quite a few lucky people dressed to the nines with their tuxedos and “butterfly ties” (that’s what they call bow ties in french…) I am so jealous! The new Pixar film “UP” premiers tonight! Je suis trop occupée.

Français – Anglais. Je suis trop occupée. Just a brief update to explain why I’ve been too busy to update. Last weekend – a wonderful trip to Copenhagen! The previous weekend – an AIFS trip to Provence! Arles, Baux en Provence, Avignon). Posts and photos will come eventually for both of those trips, as well as a post about my week and small travels with Heather and Bill. I know, I’m behind.😦. But why do I have no time to write about it now? Then, next week the film festival begins! 4 May 2009 at 6:03 am.
