The Loons of the Adirondacks. Words and Pictures 2012. The ever changing Blue Mountain Lake. Getting Here from There. This small lake is a fjord-like jewel north of Newcomb. It was lovely and quiet. A day of variable weather increased our pleasure in paddling it. David, Howie, Lois, Nora and Paul first paddled it in 2013. There are no takeouts that we could find except at the launch site. So, we lunched on the shore before paddling. Our total mileage was well under 10 miles. Proudly powered by Weebly.
