Foothills Photography: Looking for Themes: Parts
http://foothillsphoto.blogspot.com/2011/06/looking-for-themes-parts.html
In the right light, at the right time, everything is extraordinary." Aaron Rose. Wednesday, June 29, 2011. Looking for Themes: Parts. It's boring. Where's the mystery? This is what readers and viewers want (as do we, as fans of art). To create visual tension in your photos, place your subject partly out of the frame. This can create a sense of motion (and, thus, mystery:. Where's that car headed? It can create a desire in the audience to want to know more. It's nice to be a part of that discovery. Ethere...

In the right light, at the right time, everything is extraordinary." Aaron Rose. Thursday, September 30, 2010. One Extreme to Another. So, I did a show two weeks ago that was, um, less than spectacular. I wasn't very prepared. My stock was thin, for one thing, especially compared to another photographer who had bins and bins of prints for customers to browse. Plus, I suffer from not having easily recognizable images. I have a few of the area where I was, but none of them sold. Hmm. Just like these extrem...

Adirondack Photography Institute: Dark Adirondack Skies, Incredible Celestial Views
http://adkpi.blogspot.com/2014/08/dark-adirondack-skies-incredible.html
Friday, August 8, 2014. Dark Adirondack Skies, Incredible Celestial Views. I'm never so profoundly stirred by photography as I am when shooting the night landscape. It's unbelievably beautiful. I recently led my Photographing the Night Landscape. At Raquette Lake, we captured cobalt blues in the early night sky, mirrored in Brown's Tract Inlet. Lightning lit the northern horizon, and rain finally chased us off. Search The API Blog. Hunt's Photo and Video. Wildernesscapes Photography Johnathan Esper.
