The kids and I went north in May for the 46r dinner where we got our official certificates. We had planned on hiking with my sister, but then a freak snow storm dropped a few feet of snow in the High Peaks and we certainly were not prepared for that. No warm up on this hike! Just another WordPress.com site. Colden, 6.24.13. February 19, 2014. We meandered across the ridge, stopping to take in the views and headed to the rock on the southwest side of the summit. It was only 9:30! We stopped at Marcy Dam for a group shot and split up. Those girls had had quite an eventful weekend and were heading to the Lake Placid Pub and Brewery, and I had the long slog home.
