Tuesday, June 16, 2009. On Saturday, we had an event at work called Scales and Tails. It was all about animals - mostly the kind you would keep as pets (dogs, cats, bunnies, ferrets), but it also included several wildlife rescue groups and an entire room of nothing but reptiles! I spent most of my time in the room with our ectothermic friends. There were snakes of all sorts, lizards, a small alligator, turtles and tortoises and critters of the amphibious types too. His colors were so vibrant! In fact, Ce...

http://esoteric-escapism.blogspot.com/2009_03_01_archive.html
Saturday, March 21, 2009. A view to a kill? Jon and I went an a short motorcycle ride today. My first since my accident! This is what I saw in the grass:. I immediately started looking for the body. I bent down to get a closer look at the feathers and, though there was still no blood, they had most definitely been torn out at the base of their quills:. Saturday was a zoo...

http://esoteric-escapism.blogspot.com/2008_10_01_archive.html
Thursday, October 23, 2008. Yes, a real vacation and I'm beside myself with excitement! It's long overdue for both me and Jon. We fly out this evening for Portland, Oregon and then head south to visit with his mom for a few days. We plan on reacquainting ourselves with Mother Nature by doing a lot of hiking. It should be quite therapeutic and put me in a great frame of mind for when I start my new job on November 3! If I can, I'll blog from the road! Friday, October 17, 2008. Debate, Round 3. That really...
