Our Journey to Kai Coleman. Friday, May 23, 2008. After much consideration of an adoption agency we decided on America World Adoption Association. They are a Christian Organiztion and are highly recommended. They have been in business for almost 15 years and have had thousands of sucessful adoptions from China. We received our approved I-800 from the US Citizenship and Immigration today meaning it should be approximately 4-6 weeks until we receive our travel approval. The I-800 is a document that states that we are approved to specifically bring Kai into the country. This is the second to last major hurdle in the adoption paperwork process. Last night, Lillie learned the meaning of the phrase Burn me once, shame on you, burn me twice, shame on me. Oh- yes, Lillie is wearing a leg brace. She tore her ACL, tore her meniscus, and has two compaction fractures from a tennis match. We matched her dress to her brace and decked out her crutches in homecoming style! Happy 4th of July.
