Sunday, August 26, 2012. This past weekend, my company flew us all out to Vegas for a party to celebrate some goals we reached. I had a great time with my friends/co-workers! Since I had my birthday on Friday, it was a nice birthday present as well.. Me, Freida, and Dionne with our Charlie's Angels pose. Freida didn't quite get the pose right. We laughed and laughed at this photo! So the Paris hotel is like a dream come true for me (obviously) and on our way to the party, I saw this. Couldn't resist.

Sunday, November 27, 2011. Yesterday we got back from our 10 day Mediterranean Cruise departing from Rome and making stops to Olympia, Greece; Athens, Greece; Ephesus, Turkey; and Cairo, Egypt. We went to Rome 3 days early to take in the sights. It was an amazing trip and since I took hundreds of pictures, I'll just give you the highlights. This is bare bones, mind you. Four Rivers Fountain by Bernini. St Peter's Basilica in Vatican City. Inside St. Peter's Basilica with Altar designed by Bernini.

Wednesday, December 26, 2012. New Niece: Chloe Kay. On Sunday, we went to visit our new niece, Chloe Kay, who was born to Aaron's sister, Emilee and Shane. She was born December 15th and was 6 pounds, 14 ounces, and 21 inches long. I snapped some pictures while I was there. She is a cutie pie! Wednesday, December 5, 2012. Christmastime at the Walkers. I also love the general feeling of good will towards man! The pink tree for all of my girly ornaments. Shoes and shopping! Taken at my work Christmas party.

Tuesday, August 16, 2011. Et Voila.mon petit settee. Finally, my French parlour look for my living room is complete. I have finished my settee and I'm thrilled with how it has turned out. That upholstery class was one of the best decisions I ever made! Check out the results. It was hard to get a good angle so you could see the entire redo because the "parlour" is small, but in any event, here it is. I'm still debating on doing curtains in this room. So you may see that in the future too. A Dose of Pretty.

Monday, September 2, 2013. In July, we had the chance to have a foreign exchange student from France come to live with us for about 3 weeks. It was a GREAT experience and we are looking forward to doing it again. We're hoping that Juliette will come to stay with us again. We loved having her with us and had so many fun experiences! She had a tutorial class during the day (9:00-4:00) where she would study English and then in the evenings and weekends, we got to show her "Californie". On the Pirate Ship.

Tuesday, November 26, 2013. On Sunday, Aaron and I got back from China! The Great Wall of China. Before the long hike up. You can't tell here because Aaron is in short-sleeves but it was freezing. Everyone was looking at Aaron like he was crazy! The Chinese people would look at him and laugh. When you make it to the top of the Great Wall, you're called a Hero. So here is our Hero picture! It was a lot of steps. Something obviously gets lost in the translation. In the back is Nelson from Guatemala. The Su...

Saturday, March 10, 2012. A day at the River. A couple Saturdays ago (Ya, I know: I don't post), Aaron and I took the dogs down to the river for a nice hike. The weather was warm and we had a good time. I, of course, brought my camera so I could practice my photography. Here are some of the pictures I took:. So our pantry was a mess of disorganization and in the interest of trying to find more space and actually being able to find things, I took on this project today. And I must say, I am VERY proud!

Thursday, July 26, 2012. Camping at Lake Siskiyou. Yes, we slept in a tent. It's been a long time, but we brought a really nice air mattress and we both slept really well. So I guess we weren't technically "roughing it" that much. Pose He did a great job chopping wood! Beautiful Mt. Shasta. This is our view from the lake. So nice! I love this sign when you first get in. It says, "Smile. You're here. Lake Siskiyou". Sunday, July 8, 2012. Anti-Baby Shower for Sheila. Sheila is all baby! A Dose of Pretty.

Tuesday, October 9, 2012. I was on Pinterest (of course) and got the idea to do a faux fireplace. One weekend project later, we got this:. 65279;Of course, it is decorated for Halloween. Anyways, I always missed having a fireplace. (Our last house had one). But I didn't necessarily want the fireplace.just the mantle. Voila! I put the vinyl lettering where the "fire" should go so that people would stop asking, "Well, isn't a fire supposed to go there? So much better than before:. Saturday, October 6, 2012.
