Market to Meal: China Shopping: Items for Gluten Free Cooking
http://www.market2meal.com/2015/08/china-shopping-items-for-gluten-free.html
Where I Buy Things. China Shopping: Items for Gluten Free Cooking. A few of my favorite websites:. Tons of recipes that are relatively simple. I’ve been using sunflower seed oil instead of grapeseed oil (or any of the other specialty oils she uses) and it’s worked fine. I actually use sunflower oil. Lots of Indian recipes. Friend, she even has one for paleo Naan. I'm gonna name a house plant after this woman. We’ve been into curries lately, and her website is a definite go to for us. I get off Taobao:.

Market to Meal: Pumpkin Bread
http://www.market2meal.com/2010/11/pumpkin-bread.html
Where I Buy Things. I love quick breads and muffins for breakfast. The rest of my family is not as enthusiastic. I can get them to eat cinnamon toast better than they eat some other sweet breads. Go figure. I do have fans of poppy seed bread. I made a month or two ago! If you don't already have a favorite pumpkin bread recipe, give this one a shot. I really like it. I also will share a few variations to plain pumpkin bread. 1 15oz can pumpkin puree (2 cups homemade. 3 1/2 cups flour. 2 tsp baking soda.

Market to Meal: Banana Bread (Oil-based)
http://www.market2meal.com/2012/01/banana-bread-oil-based.html
Where I Buy Things. I said FOREVER ago that I wanted to give you a few of my favorite recipes even though they called for butter or Crisco but wanted to follow it up with an almost-as-good oil-based recipe. I did this for blueberry muffins (with Crisco. Back then I gave you my favorite banana bread. 2 cups all-purpose flour. 1 tsp baking soda. 1 tsp baking powder. 4 medium-sized very ripe bananas. I almost always make this in 2 7x3 inch loaf pans rather than one large one. January 20, 2012 at 10:22 AM.

Market to Meal: Ramen Salad with Chicken
http://www.market2meal.com/2010/05/oriental-chicken-salad.html
Where I Buy Things. Ramen Salad with Chicken. I don't think I ever make it with quite the same set of ingredients. The green onions "make" the salad though, so don't leave them out! If we're just wanting a side salad with some other things, I just leave out the chicken! Ramen Salad with Chicken. 1 head lettuce, shredded or chopped (some recipes call for bok choy or Chinese cabbage). 4 green onions, finely sliced. 1 pkg crushed Ramen noodles. 1 Tbs sesame seeds. 1/2 tsp black pepper. I am a wife and mom o...

Market to Meal: Kitchen Gadget Love: Grain Grinder!
http://www.market2meal.com/2013/09/kitchen-gadget-love-grain-grinder.html
Where I Buy Things. Kitchen Gadget Love: Grain Grinder! I've read about Wondermills and Nutrimills on various blogs. They seem to be the standard for grain mills in the US and will cost you a pretty penny. Thanks to a little direction from a friend, I bought a locally available electric grain grinder here in China. They are very reasonably priced for the industrial strength machines they are! I bought mine from this Taobao seller. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). View my complete profile.

Market to Meal: Coconut Rice
http://www.market2meal.com/2010/09/coconut-rice.html
Where I Buy Things. For a few years, I struggled with what to serve along side the Sesame Chicken and Mango Salsa. Dish I shared earlier this week. My cousin, Ashley, had been making it, too, and told me this is what they do with it though- Coconut Rice! It's a beautiful combination of flavors. We love it. I hope you can get coconut milk and make it. This rice would go well with about any Asian flavor inspired dishes. 1 can coconut milk. 1/2 tsp white vinegar. A few dashes of black pepper (to taste).

Where I Buy Things. Shopping Tip: Daim Bars and Ziplocks at Ikea. I noticed in the grocery section that their Daim bars were buy one get one free. Did you know that Daim bars are more or less the same as a Heath Bar in the US? If you ever find recipes calling for toffee bits or chopped Heath Bar, you could easily chop up some Daim bars. I love making this simple cheesecake. In mini form, with chocolate chip cookie dough on bottom and chopped Daim Bar or Heath Bar on top. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).
