Just another WordPress.com weblog. September 4, 2010. Mountain Biked today with my son. We tried a new trail called Beverly Lake in Hoffman Estates. The trail was not very technical or crowded – at least the part we were on was not. After riding for about an hour the bottom bracket on his bike broke off. Just another WordPress.com weblog. Moraine Hills Half and Orienteering. October 23, 2010. Tomorrow morning at 7:45 I am running the Moraine Hills Run for the Hills. Trail half marathon. Rain is in the forecast which mean everyone is going to be a muddy mess. Sunday, Laurie and I are orienteering in the Willow Springs Orienteering meet. We are doing the green course, the second most difficult, and we have limited time so we probably won’t get all the checkpoints. But it will be great practice.

The race was held in Augusta, MI outside of Grand Rapids at the Fort Custer State Park. The trails are beautiful and well maintained. The trees are turning colors which made it hard to spot the orange checkpoints at times but beautiful still. We also had four more checkpoints and the special event…. From → Adventure Racing.
