Where the revolution's gonna begin. A raging river of tears.cutting a grand canyon of light. Tuesday, October 06, 2009. Autumn is the most delicious season. Quick update, 'cause there's a lot happening that should probably be recorded. So, here's September, in a very small nutshell that's probably leaving out a lot:. The weekend conference I went to was the amazing Women and Power conference at the Omega Women's Institute. In Rhinebeck, NY. Is a completely youth-run nonprofit that empowers other youth to...

Where the revolution's gonna begin. A raging river of tears.cutting a grand canyon of light. Tuesday, September 14, 2010. Here we go again. Annnnnd we're back at it. I'm working, again, against an abortion ban as a state ballot issue. And again, this one is the abortion ban ballot issue's second time around in as many years. I'm feeling a curious sort of deja vu here. Up side: this time, I'm in Colorado, not South Dakota. (No offense to SoDak - you all were fab! It's a completely ridiculous amendment and...

Strong Beautiful Birth: November 2010
http://strongbeautifulbirth.blogspot.com/2010_11_01_archive.html
Monday, November 22, 2010. As one of my clients has just successfully avoided an induction (mostly due to her doctor not wanting to attend her birth on Thanksgiving), the topic on my mind today is "full term" babies and unnecessary inductions. Then I saw this crazy video, and thought, now THAT baby is READY:. Links to this post. Sunday, November 14, 2010. I'm a Top Blog! I'm so pleased and flattered to announce that this blog has won the 2010 Top Postpartum Care Blog Award! Including Penny Simpkin's blog.

Strong Beautiful Birth: Midwife Fun at Miles for Midwives!
http://strongbeautifulbirth.blogspot.com/2011/10/midwife-fun-at-miles-for-midwives.html
Monday, October 3, 2011. Midwife Fun at Miles for Midwives! Saturday's Miles for Midwives was a blast, as predicted! We avoided the rain and had a very fun- run/walk. It was so nice to see familiar faces: midwives, doulas, friends, and past clients. I sat at the NYC Homebirth Midwives' table giving away coupons to well-woman visits with Clementine Midwifery. Chi Chi showed her support by running and wearing last year's shirt:. See you next year! Labels: Choices in Childbirth. View my complete profile.
