Wednesday, June 20, 2012. Yesterday we left Toulouse and the Midi and are now on the Garrone canal. We enjoyed our 5 Days stay in Toulouse. Thursday, June 28, 2012. Moissac in the Midi-Pyrénées region of southern France. After waiting 2 days for a new throttle cable from Marseille, we continued on our way and spent the night at a quiet bankside mooring. The next day we did a side trip on the Montech/Montbauban canal to Montauban. Which is a delightfull city with a large pedestrian area. We bought a new TV dish as the previous one was broken under some trees when the throttle cable broke. Location of Moissac in France. Local time in France.

Monday, July 16, 2012. Tour De France time in France. A garden in Toulouse. At 11pm one night, we saw a 400 sq. M. light show on the Palais de la Bourse. That was followed at 11.30 by a fireworks dispay which was extremely noisy but didn't last long. As our main course one evening we decided to sample Calamari (squid) with a black ink sauce. Monday, May 30, 2011. Progress into a more peaceful quiet waterway. After travelling through the industrial areas we are now in the real French country side ,parked in a village called Frise on the Somme river. Click here to view map of where Frise is. Parked there for the night,we got a bit of a wash from the passing barges, but not too bad. Fri morning ,no wind! Left at 6.15 am , intending to stop in Douai. For the night ,not very nice stopping places ,so carried on to the junction of the canal du nord.
