February 29th, my favorite day of the year. It’s almost like a holiday, like Christmas or Easter or Free Text Friday. I’ll probably spend much of that time sorting through the over 2,000 photos that I’ve taken over the past month. I’m making good progress already and getting them posted up on Flickr. Heading Home (Opuwo Part 4). We stopped for an overnight at a beautiful lodge in Outjo before saying goodbye to our beloved translator and heading back to Okahandja. We made a stop at J.G., the other Okahandja secondary school that I haven’t been working at, to teach some Life Skills classes. She appears to have a heart for children and, as she takes on this awesome responsibility on her own, please keep her and Angela, Riaan, Ismael, Smithley, Queen and Memory, in your prayers during this [yet another] transition period. Every Friday the foster parents of the ministry get together to pray in song, discuss particular readings or scripture that may have helped get them through the previous week, or deal with a situation, discuss what might be on their hearts, or simply to discuss administrative details. Wednesday, February 07, 2007. Boniface "Boni" is a 32 year old, recent seminary graduate and is engaged. He is from the country of Burundi, which is located northeast of Namibia. Currently, he is living at Nan's house and considers Nan to be his spritual mother. Though we never got into how the whole relationship started, Nan has been a big help to him.
