When life gives you breast cancer, make pink lemonade. On Saturday July 26th, 2008 at approximately 4:00pm, Mary died. July 27, 2008 in breast cancer. There were still things to say, hugs to give, laughs to share and at least one more “I love you,” but, as it turns out, tomorrow never came, and now it’s too late. I have a lot of thoughts running through my mind that begin with “I wish I had,” and I regret that I didn’t, but we know that you knew we all love you, so I’ll let it go. Long Time No Post.

When I woke up, I was in recovery, and I was very disappointed that my breast surgeon, Dr. Dupont, had had to leave because I wanted to tell her that I had changed my mind and didn’t want to go through with the surgery after all. I guess I thought it would be funny. Looks good, he said casually, and hurriedly snapped my buttons up and whipped out of the room, saying I’ll be back by tomorrow as he left. Long Time No Post.
