http://attemptingironmanwisconsin.blogspot.com/2008/09/so-now-what.html
I have decided to try and complete an Ironman. Wisconsin, being my home state, is the only one I have the desire to do. This is my journey for the next 53 weeks before Ironman Wisconsin, 2008. Sunday, September 14, 2008. Well, I am no longer "Attempting Ironman Wisconsin". I am an Ironman! However, random things still happen and I just feel the need to share. But, I can't use this blog any more because I am no 'attempting' any more. This part is over and I am ready to move on. Life After IM Moo. Heart Ra...

SportzJunkies: April 2012
http://sportzjunkies.blogspot.com/2012_04_01_archive.html
Long distance tri chicks working our way through season after season, laughing, complaining, eating and constantly washing clothes. We are lots of fun. No, really. We are. Thursday, April 19, 2012. Wear the shirt. Drink the gatorade. Eat the cookies. (Not really a race report.). I spent all last week trying to forget that I had a race on the calendar for the weekend. Anytime someone would mention it, I'd act surprised. Oh! Part of me was on board with bailing, since no one really cared if I went or not a...

http://sportzjunkies.blogspot.com/2012/04/rice-in-morning-feed-zone-cookbook.html
Long distance tri chicks working our way through season after season, laughing, complaining, eating and constantly washing clothes. We are lots of fun. No, really. We are. Monday, April 2, 2012. The Feed Zone Cookbook}. Food actually bores me. I like it ok, and I eat it a lot, but when you are seemingly always hungry, food gets boring. Oh, hi, look, another banana. Great. What's for breakfast? Is essential. When you are training for a long race, your food is your FUEL. Great So, healthy foods then? The o...

SportzJunkies: If you can't beat 'em, join 'em
http://sportzjunkies.blogspot.com/2012/03/if-you-cant-beat-em-join-em.html
Long distance tri chicks working our way through season after season, laughing, complaining, eating and constantly washing clothes. We are lots of fun. No, really. We are. Tuesday, March 20, 2012. If you can't beat 'em, join 'em. Last Tuesday, I returned to the doctor to see how my foot was healing. (I almost typed heeling. That would have been really funny, right? But, not, because it's not my heel that hurts.) It had been a week in the funny shoe. So, off to the doctor's I went. Will there be a shadow?

Celebrating 5 years of Ironman participation. The Full Race Report. July 24, 2008. And got my bodymarked. Then I walked down to drop off my special needs bags and get ready on the beach. I bumped into my friend Joe on the beach and we wandered over to the water together. I decided to seed myself towards the front and middle. No matter how many times you watch an Ironman swim start on You Tube, nothing will prepare you for the chaos of the mass start! 8221; Oh yeah, and with never-ending rain, I learned t...

https://ironwoman.wordpress.com/2013/07/28/swim-done-onto-the-bike
Celebrating 5 years of Ironman participation. Swim done, onto the bike! July 28, 2013. Sara is doing great! We saw her somewhere between 745-750am smiling as usual. She completed the swim in 1:12:26, and spent 8:41 in transition. One note – the IronTrac and ironman.com’s athlete tracker are both (quite a bit) behind. Bear this in mind if you are watching live. Hoping to catch Sara on the first bike loop in a few hours! Will try to keep you updated with pics if possible. July 28, 2013 at 11:02 am.

Ironman Race Goals | IronWoman
https://ironwoman.wordpress.com/2013/03/19/ironman-race-goals
Celebrating 5 years of Ironman participation. March 19, 2013. Conventional wisdom dictates that the goal of your first Ironman should be to finish. Any expectations you have about time or performance – put them aside and just cross that finish line. Even better, cross the finish line with a smile. I did just that at Ironman Lake Placid 2008. My finish at IMLP. I held onto that primary goal of having a great experience at Ironman Wisconsin in 2009. And Ironman Canada in 2011. If I hit my targets above, I&...

They’re off! | IronWoman
https://ironwoman.wordpress.com/2013/07/28/theyre-off
Celebrating 5 years of Ironman participation. July 28, 2013. Best-friend Mona here serving as your guest blogger for the day! I’ll be trying to update periodically. First and foremost let’s talk weather. The weather situation is a bit tentative at best. Forecast calls for rain in the afternoon through the evening. This is starting to remind me of spectating at the 2008 IMLP! I’m still hopeful the rain will hold off. This was the view this morning as Sara was getting marked. Sunrise over Lake Placid.
